Official NCAA 2nd round (32) game thread: KU vs Auburn

Last year's team shot 3's like crazy at almost every position. Made a final four. Lost to the champion who shot 3's at every position. This year's team...not good at 3's, losing to a team who is. In today's basketball you have to have shooters. I hope next year's team does

Honestly, it was probably the BEST. He got this crappy team to 25 wins, 3rd in the Big 12 and a tourney win? They overachieved.

This year was a series of unfortunate events.
We made the Final Four last year and lost to a team on a mission—who then went on to beat the next team in the title game worse than they beat us.

Grimes wasn’t near Josh Jackson level. He wasn’t Oubre level. We lost our best defensive big and a guy who could guarantee you two points. We lost our 2nd leading scorer and one of the best three point shooters in the last 15 years.

I’m not surprised we could go out in the first weekend. I didn’t see this beat down but I’m not surprised.

Villanova only had 49 at the half against us in the Final Four. That does nothing tonight but maybe it'll make you feel better about that beat down.

That Nova team won the national title. This Auburn team was 9-9 in the SEC.
