Fired Disney employee accused of hacking menu system to falsely claim certain foods didn't contain peanuts, complaint says

Michael Scheuer was fired in June for alleged misconduct, the criminal complaint says, adding that the termination was contentious and not amicable.

A disgruntled former Disney employee is being accused of hacking into menu-creating software used by the company's restaurants to falsely indicate that certain food items did not contain peanuts.

In a federal criminal complaint filed in U.S District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Michael Scheuer, who had been recently terminated, is accused of knowingly causing the transmission of a program to a protected computer and intentionally causing damage without authorization.

Scheuer worked at Walt Disney World as a menu production manager. While employed at the company, Scheuer was responsible for the creation and publishing of menus for the company's entire restaurant portfolio.

It was some good drama.
I had a million and one (ok, maybe only 10 or so) thoughts when you sent me the link and I opened it to view what I was viewing.
5 of them being.....
1. WTF? It's raining in Chicago. It's not raining there.
2. WTF? It's dark outside my window but still daylight there.
3. WTF? Those artificial(?) palm trees look real to me.
4. WTF? It would suck to be those people.
5. WTF? Where is there a Knott's Berry Farm in the Chicago area?

My daughter and I got stuck on one of the Harry Potter rides at Universal for almost an hour. It was brutal. Stuck in rock hard plastic seats tipped forward and at an angle right in front of an animatronic dragon head that shot steam out of it every X number of minutes. There were a few girls in seats near us who were genuinely freaking out. They eventually had to turn on all the lights and come unload us one by one onto some rolling metal stairs. It was cool to walk out through the guts of the ride and see al the mechanics of it up close but I would have rather not.
