Very well may be the last game the Chiefs play this season that they are a dog. I hope so.

Hell no it's not. We are playing the #6 rank undefeated team on the road. But the truth is if we play our best football we will win. We have a very good team, unfortunately our coaching has been sub par and this season will go down as a major disappointment.

Now comes the mixed bag, we do play to our protentional and win the next three games. What do we get? A garbage bowl game and 100% the coaches are going forward. Also we going to be helping the team that wears purple most likely get into Big12 championship. Tragic

Sure the both of you (Jeeper and hart) can come up with valid reasons why it's not basically saying the same thing, and I could come up with reasons too, but let me help the both of you to understand why I said what I said.
Look at the spreads on the games.

On a side note, I'm not a "sportscaster" but I wouldn't be shocked if I know more about KU Football than some/many "sportscasters". My guess is the "sportscasters" picking KU to win know that regardless of the spread (even if BYU was a 20 point favorite) if KU plays well, they should be right there with BYU at the end of the game and have a decent chance to win the game. Those who don't know much about KU and who would make their picks before looking at the spread, would probably assume BYU should win easily.

Sportsbooks tend to use existing analytics ( gasp - numbers and data, run!!! ) to help set initial spreads.

In this case, ( this is wild to me ) in Sagarin, look where we are despite our 3-6 record:

28th compared to 19th BYU.
We really should be a 5-4 football team right now -- if there was a luck score on Sagarin like kenpom we'd be in the mid 200's.

I think we'll fall apart in an actual road game vs an undefeated team ( that beat ksu by almost 30 ) but i'm not working for a sportsbook out to try and make as much money as possible.

I only made one sports bet this year and that was with my cousins in CO. They were very sure in June that CU was going to walk all over KU. I will be driving all day on Saturday so won't watch the game, but should get to the Springs in time for them to deliver a case of beer to my house for dinner.

But....the last few games we look better?

We aren't a top notch program. Let's be honest. There were posters on here saying "why cant we be a top basketball AND football program". That's just so far fetched at this point in time.

So, that said, if we win out, and look competent on offense doing so, I won't be in support of firing Grimes. No pressure Grimes.

We would have to win out to even entertain such a stupid things as to keep him. He is terrible at his job. But we'll still have Daniels next season. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is yet to be seen.
