I am POSITIVE if this was a Democrat nominee and the same thing happened, with a Democratic nomination, the Democrats would vote the same to not release results. But that’s a problem with the system, IMO. You are allowing yourself to be nominated for a public position. Full disclosure of findings by those we voted into office should be the standard.

It literally says right in the article both "The suit was filed in October" AKA before she was chosen and "Phillips’ alleged abuse at the WWE was reported by the New York Post as early as 1992". It also describes the delay: "In 2023, the Maryland Child Victims Act, which repeals the statute of limitations in certain child sexual abuse civil lawsuits, became law."
