Re: Israel/Palestine
as has been said before (but apparently needs repeated), there is only one side here whose founding principles include the annihilation of Israel
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: Israel/Palestine
whenever dealing with geopolitical conflicts and imperial allies and such, one exercise I find useful is to simply put the shoe on the other foot, so to speak, of whatever talking point is offered.
"Unfortunately (insert here) must go on offense to defend itself. Does it need to run up the score? Again, unfortunately I believe (insert here) does.
I'd also be curious why some purported rules-based order such as the ICC might be perceived as anti- or pro-one country or another, before or after a particular conflict or another.
and I also struggle with the "but (insert here) wants to wipe somewhere else off the face the of the earth offered as defense, when that's otherwise like totally what IS happening in real time with (insert here).
I dunno. Imperialism be goofy like that.
I'll just wrap up by saying - fault MICH how we will, but at least MICH tells us who he is up front.

OK.
If being concerned about your and my tax dollars continuing to pay for the weapons provided to alleged war criminals perpetrating a genocide means I'm "triggered" by the word "imperialism," then yea, sure.
but go figure illy loves those trigger words.
