I was driving a truckload of kitchen cabinets over the pass, god damn it was windy today. Damn near blew me off the road a couple of times out on I-25. A semi driver lost it just as we were getting off at Walsenburg.

We stop in Monte Vista for a late lunch torta. I pull up the game score. The waiter says, "Is that the Panthers game? I can't believe we did it!"

Score tied and Mahomes is getting the ball with 1:43 to play and three times outs. I laugh and tell the kid, "Mahomie is gonna take it down the field and we kick a FG pass time expires to win."

After we finish eating I go up to the counter to pay. "Did they win?" the kid says. "Yep, Chiefs kicked a FG as time expired". Kid looks dejected so I give him a 25% tip.

He says, "Yeah, but what about the Bills?". I had to laugh again, "In the playoffs? You know Mahomie wins that." It its good to be a Chief's fan these days. After all those miserable years, that you knew we lose these games; now I just feel we are gonna win every time.

And this the day after the Jayhawks put the hurt on the Buffs. No one in Colorado wants to talk to me today.
