Big fan of craft beer that's not just shamelessly over-hopped.

Also a big fan of John Brown. Pretty rad that history has embraced him, particularly in KS.
Did you watch The Good Lord Bird?
I have not.

What'd ya think?

It was really good.
It showed a degree of insanity growing inside Brown as he descended into crossing the lines of what should be acceptable in a "religious" battle.

It also had some funny scenes. like this:

Ethan Hawke was incredible.

lol

gory yet slapstick.

also, is that Steve Zahn?!

I remember a review somewhere that said it portrayed Brown as pretty loony.

I can't find it now, but recently saw some quote from Frederick Douglass like, "After meeting with John Brown, I grow increasingly concerned that the struggle to end slavery cannot be achieved peacefully."

He was portrayed as definitely going off the deep end.

^^^^
i enjoyed it quite a bit
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
