Why should I have to prove that I own this car I’m driving around?

Why do I need to prove ownership of this house I’m squatting in?

So, the new three-year freeze isn’t an admission that open borders don’t work?

Exactly. We’ll just trust them with the rights guaranteed by the Constitution that are only available to actual citizens. To do otherwise is just plain bad manners. Or racism.
you trumpers beating the law and order drum is hilarious

I'll go ahead and say what I am thinking. In the long run, that may have been the best thing that could have happened to young EG. Not how it happened, but that it happened. Dude is doing well in life.

Spain has quite the program in the works…granting citizenship to migrants in order to 1) shore up job vacancies that native Spaniards won’t fill, and 2) bolster tax revenues

given where social security is in the U.S., and the shifting demographics with the baby boomers (insolvency on the horizon), does it really make more sense to spend ungodly amounts of money to round people up and deport them, then it would to give them a job and tax them?

racism, xenophobia, and owning the libs aside (obviously)…

Meanwhile, anti-immigration zealots describe the US as if it was Singapore or Hong Kong. Like the only crops are the ones we pay to import, and the only place to build is up.

No one pulls you over exclusively to check your registration or comes to your door asking you to prove that you live in the house you're residing in.

And nor will JK get thrown into a private prison camp for failing to have his registration in the glove box on whatever day he happens to get pulled over for expired tags.

US citizens are breaking the law when undocumented workers work in the US. So, take your “law-abiding” nonsense and shove it.

True, but I’m not sucking the life out of the nation’s economy, nor am I breaking the law by being here. So, there’s that.

Neither are they. Our economy exists largely BECAUSE of them.
The next several years are going to extremely difficult for you. You should pace yourself.

But I think we all know that very, very many "law-abiding citizens" are susceptible to being caught in dragnets like this.

How many weeks spent by a law-abiding citizen in a private prison camp because they didn't have their social security card on them when stopped and frisked is too many weeks?

Three weeks?

Ten?
