Two guys I can't stand talking about how the sport has become something I can barely stand.

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: F the NCAA
The historic Allen Fieldhouse....brought to you by "FNBO - America's Most Insightful Bank"!!!!!
Re: F the NCAA
I think next they should change the colors of the Jayhawk to green and replace the KU mark inside with fnbo.
Re: F the NCAA
i am very glad that they went back to the circus font.
Re: F the NCAA
How many ads were on the court in last night's amazing game? Anyone? That's right, no one has any clue because no one notices and it is irrelevant. This notion that the floor that gets resurfaced every few years is somehow some sort of historic thing that cannot be tarnished is so corny.
I find the $6 bottles of Aquafina at AFH concessions more offensive than this little ad that probably generates millions in revenue. I honestly didn't even notice it when pictures first came out. Fussing over it is just "I'm a Better Fan" performance art.

People have feelings about things.
I was born and raised in Lawrence and was a KU fan all the way growing up.
So take your performance art comment and shove it.
Re: F the NCAA
surely we would prefer to keep AFH pristine. void of such things. but. the portal costs. the annual free agent marketplace co$t$.
and it's only gonna get worse. because after this season we will be done with program guys. no more dh's and aj's. it will only be 1, 2 year free agents. they co$t.

Yes, people have feelings about all sorts of silly things. It doesn't make them less silly.pdub wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 10:44 amDisagree.twocoach wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 10:37 am How many ads were on the court in last night's amazing game? Anyone? Where you were born is irrelevant, unless you're trying to win a "I'm a better fan because of where I was born" competition.
Re: F the NCAA
I'll be sure to respond to anything that you feel passionate about as silly from here on out.
Re: F the NCAA
Disagree. KU will always have a balance of recruits who stick around that are mixed with vets brought in to fill roles. Self has been very clear about that.MICHHAWK wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 10:45 am surely we would prefer to keep AFH pristine. void of such things. but. the portal costs. the annual free agent marketplace co$t$.

Re: F the NCAA
Fair enough. You'd probably be right most of the time. It's silly to be so passionate about sports in general but I do it freely. No biggie, I don't take it personally.
Re: F the NCAA
I mean, this applies to anything really.
Just took a mental note.

James Naismith Court should not have ads on it.
Put them on the screens. Put them on the scorers table scrolling advertising board. Put them in the concession area. And bathrooms. And wherever else.
....but not on the court.

Bunch of performance artists up in here.
