Eggs are fairly inexpensive.
I was led to believe that eggs are, in fact, $125/doz
they are indeed much much more expensive than most items as a percentage of their cost when the 'inflationary period' began.
Yep.

so last night took this bumble babe out to dinner at a fancy Italian joint - complimentary breadsticks, never-ending pasta bowls, real high end shit.

Afterwards I ask if she has a fave spot we can get a drink to cap off the nice night, maybe somewhere as classy as dinner, a serves Coors by the bucket kinda place.

She says she's got a better idea, check this out.

We go to one of the nicer hotels in town and belly up at the bar. When the bartender comes by, she candidly drops a, "we're here to celebrate another anniversary, we come this weekend every year, so many memories, we just *love* this place."

And just like that, boom!

Complimentary champagne.

Not bad, bumble babe.

As I was deciding, (after only ~ 8 months of courting), to ask a lawyer I once slept with, to marry me, it suddenly occurred to me and I instantaneously asked myself, if I was prepared to spend the rest of my life with someone who might be smarter than I was. In less than half of a half of a second I decided an emphatic "YES", because it could make life so much easier.

I never regretted it.

Something tells me this Bumble babe isn't a lawyer, isn't smarter than Ousy, wouldn't make his life any easier, and he would highly regret marrying her.

Cynical, paranoid, whatever, I am, it seems to me there is a decent chance the woman is a con artist and if Ousy takes her out again there is a decent chance he wakes up with his watch, wallet, and phone, missing.

On a related note, I have a strong feeling the bartender isn't too bright.
My guess is, neither Ousy nor his date were wearing any rings on their fingers that indicated they were married. Or the bartender probably didn't give a shit and thought these two are idiots so let me fuck with them too.

Here ya go. Here's some "Complimentary champagne". Lulz.

For some people, it's just about knowing you got a deal.
And I guess the role-playing part could be fun on a date.

sure, those people suck...and usually spend more in fuel and wasted time than the deal they got.

If it's the role-play ya like, cool, good on you....but make the story about that and not the free sips.

I'm sure the bartender was super excited to have a couple cheapos taking up primo belly up spots. He probably just gave them champagne in the hopes of getting them the hell out of there. here take it and move along

My BUD spends probably an hour a week clipping digital coupons and doing ibotta stuff.
My bro goes through credit cards just to get their bonuses and then closes them.
I use boosted bets and hedge against them to guarantee money each week.

So I get it.

I guess the difference with this 'bumble babe' is that she's taking from a small business rather than a big corp.

yea, wasn't even really for the deal, it was just the novelty of it. For a fun little trick on a date, I thought it was kinda clever.

The bartender was ultimately impressed tho cuz we ended up hanging there for the rest of the night pounding coorses. I had 3 or 4, she put down 14 suckas plus wings...wifey material...

....or I'd say wifey material, but after that she stole my watch, wallet, and phone...who's the sucka now?

(Since I need to say these things - I'm kidding about all that. Except for the part about thinking it was kinda clever).

She had a glass of champagne and then 14 beers at the bar?*
Different strokes I guess but raging alcoholic isn't in my rolodex.
Mild alcoholic? OK, let's see where it takes us.

Actually, no, it’s not.

When I say “I’m kidding” it means I’m kidding.

When I tell a story straight, I’m telling a story straight - even if the predictable handful of posters try to refrain FaKeNeWs!!!

No need to apologize.

Cuz actually, it’s not that I “feel differently,” since I obviously know when I’m kidding or not.

I’m even straightforward enough to just tell you when I’m kidding or not! Like for real, it’s pretty ironic that I can’t even say “I’m kidding” without you responding to that very post with “not sure where you’re kidding.”

So maybe it’s more like, I’m sorry you gotta be so unsure about something otherwise so straightforward?

Sigh.

Yea bro, I think you’re just jealous or something.

I mean, if you try to belly up and score anniversary champagne with a fuckin blow-up doll, the bartender’s gonna tell your gushered ass to leave.
