I guess that's to say, I think the Democratic Party brand has a sincerity issue among voters.
Ok, but there’s the whole “how a bill becomes a law” thing to address. And then you’ve got the Court coming in to say lol nvmd anyway.

Frankly, a Democrat candidate promising to deliver anything remotely like universal healthcare is being insincere by definition.

So, by "coaching up", you mean recommending young Democratic candidates be like AOC, and promote National health care.

Thanks.

I still think we can’t yet know even the contours of a winning approach. It would not surprise me at all if…specific policies really aren’t it anyway.

We JUST saw an unexpired gas station sandwich lose to a runny turd in a moldy hot dog bun.

Are we really SURE that the problem is that the sandwich wasn’t appetizing enough?

some seem to be quite sure that if only the dems catered to their own, very specific wants, that they’d miraculously obtain tens of millions of more votes…rather than attempting to appeal to the broadest sets of voters possible

it’s like their own little bubble keeps recirculating the same notion

I'm already predicting that the Dims won't have learned their lesson and will try to run The Waitress in 2028. A younger, just as dum, even less-qualified version of Giggles. Lulz.

My reasons for suggesting AOC did not include "young," but it may not hurt.

and, yea, promote national health care. But the bigger point is, they need some kind of popular platform to offer.

It’s not defeatist at all. What’s defeatist is playing a game you can’t win. That’s little brother try-hard-points shit.

dude but dems are ALREADY playing a game they can't win. They're fucking loosers, man with two O's.

at least I'm trying to come up with something better than their looser ass gameplan.

I think it's a very bad move for dems to just sorta sit on their asses being the little brothers whining, "but why didn't anyone like my gas station sandwich?" Or, worse yet, "if no one liked my gas station sandwich then they're stoopid."

that's how, all of a sudden, they'll exclaim, "oh shit, it's 2028 already! So is that gas station sandwich still unexpired??"

If not left, then what other direction?

If the answer is, move toward the center...well, look how that worked out for Kamala.

And, as Pubs move hard right, that likely pulls "the center" further to the right as well, and then guess what direction that pulls a centrist strategy too.

Relax.

Nothing good comes from anchoring 2028 expectations to a CHOOSE YOUR FIGHTER screen we can compose in December 2024.

That sort of thing, frankly, is why we are where we are.

Why do you repeat this stuff weekly? You've gone over all of this. We understand your stance.

well, to answer your question:

it was cuz I was asking you to clarify your own stance.

Why do you think going "further left" is so odd?

Because I am yet to see compelling data that supports your conclusion.

It's another one of your "gut feeling" or "eye test" type opinions.
