Evil Rich People
Re: Evil Rich People
UnitedHealth CEO shot dead outside NYC hotel room in what is being described as a targeted attack.
Supposedly he had recently been applying for bodyguard services, but he had been - wait for it - denied coverage.

Re: Evil Rich People
this is an example of a rich person's evilness being a preexisting condition.
Re: Evil Rich People
they say he could have made it, if only he had been able to get access to healthcare in a more timely manner.

Ok, I'll play the Gutter role.
Good for BCBS.
Some Doctors are among the biggest crooks and scumbags in the world.
At some point purposeful overbilling needs to be addressed and curbed.

Re: Evil Rich People
their timing is impeccable.
I didn't think of purposeful overbilling but maybe that's a good point. I'd be curious to see that weighed against the purposeful limiting/denial of benefits that insurance companies do for the sake of their own crooky scummy motives.
That's to say, whether it's crooky insurance or crooky doctors, it kinda sounds like the real culprit is profit-seeking.

There is a concept of an idea for a plan for healthcare. We are only 12 years into the process but it will be great, beautiful, perfect healthcare....you are gonna love it! The best!
We will tell you all about it in two weeks.
Kamala didn't tell us enough details about her plan....so we will roll the dice on the crazy fuckers....or vote for Jill Stein which was pretty much the same thing.
Thank you for your debt service rubes.

Kamala's plan went from "Medicare-4-All" to "Expand Obamacare"
you kinda have to know how to dig on the internet to find it any more tho, cuz if you go to her website, there's no longer a dropdown menu to find info like her platform.
Rather, it's just big bold all caps "THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING OUR CAMPAIGN" and "OUR FIGHT CONTINUES" with a red DONATE button still there too.
that's not to say Trump's "concepts of a plan" was anything less than laughable too.
I guess the point is, neither party exactly has a vision for healthcare in this country, and there's a reason health insurance CEOs are getting whacked in the streets Tony Soprano style, and the folks are laughing about it.
they deleted the tweet when the laugh emojis got to 21k. That's an all-time ratio

Re: Evil Rich People
when did they replace the teachers unions?
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: Evil Rich People
Apparently she’ll casings found at the crime scene with “DEFEND” “DENY” “DEPOSE” written on them
Re: Evil Rich People
they didn't.
teachers unions is the greatest villian.

1. Render government nonfunctional.japhy wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 9:56 am There is a concept of an idea for a plan for healthcare. We are only 12 years into the process but it will be great, beautiful, perfect healthcare....you are gonna love it! The best!

2. Blame government for being nonfunctional.
This one is new, though:
3. Sit back and watch opposing voters revel in a guy getting murdered over the predicable consequences of government having been rendered nonfunctional.
Re: Evil Rich People
wait so a controversial healthcare CEO guy getting murdered is a consequence of government having been been rendered nonfunctional, and a predictable consequence at that?
once again, just genuinely not sure where you're going with this one. Kind of want to ask, but also kind of don't.

Sometimes you seem so eager to simply be on the other side of an argument that you miss when someone is on YOUR side.BiggDick wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 10:51 am wait so a controversial healthcare CEO guy getting murdered is a consequence of government having been been rendered nonfunctional, and a predictable consequence at that?

Re: Evil Rich People
ok?
I honestly wasn't trying to be on the other side of the argument. That's not my intent, so much as it may be your own reactive instinct.
Cuz I also honestly am just not sure how the Evil Rich People thread got all the way from rendering the government nonfunctional, to blaming the government for being nonfunctional, to a nonfunctional government's predictable consequences being a healthcare CEO getting murdered.
That just kind of feels all over the place, or something.
glad you're on my side tho, apparently?

sometimes the algorithm just makes $#!t up as it goes.
Re: Evil Rich People
"Deny" "Depose" "Defend" on the bullet casings.
We need to live in a society of laws but when the laws get warped to make the rich invulnerable, well, them's the breaks.
The just thing here would be, when caught, United Healthcare has to spend/provide for his lawyer fees and they must be equal to the amount to whatever the prosecution spends.

Re: Evil Rich People
interesting take!
I saw one point like, the CEO was responsible for more deaths and had more blood on his hands than his killer ever will, it's just that he made those deaths happen not with a gun but with a pen.
