I think his thing is wanting more drones instead.
But Elon, a master wordsmith, does concede, "Fighter jets do have the advantage of helping Air Force officers get laid."
Sounds like Elon's been binging Top Gun. I'd bet all my Dogecoin that he pauses it at the volleyball scene.
Remington 870 or Mossberg 500?

Wouldn't be anyone's choice. Unless the goal is torture.

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

i read somewhere that we could provide free healthcare to all legal Americans, with all the money we spend funding foreign wars.

I bet we could fund Healthcare to all Americans with just the tax breaks and subsidies we've given to Elon alone.
Are you outraged about that?

What were the odds!
Re: Let’s have a war!
That is a very big question.
Is there like something in particular you'd like to consider?
Literally every other country has some sorta nationalized healthcare. Plenty of other places have nationalized energy, housing, transportation, all sorts of industries/resources/however you wanna.
And I think it's worth adding two caveats:
1. even if it is difficult to find examples of what would satisfy your question of "proven large scale success" alternatives to free-market economies, it's much more difficult yet to find examples that have been left to their own devices, and not subjected to wars, coups, embargoes, sanctions, propaganda, and various other forms of being fucked with by the "free-market" otherwise.
2. even if you want to argue nowhere has had "proven large scale success," that doesn't mean it's still not worth trying. At some point it's worth rethinking systems built to focus on things like conserving resources and the planet and satisfying people's basic needs, rather than doubling down on systems built for infinite growth and individual accumulation of wealth.
The ancient Greeks tried democracy, and it didn't necessarily stick the first time around, but it ended up getting tried again, and the folks seem to prefer it now anyway. It's a matter of bringing democratic principals to economic decision-making, in addition to political.
