I honestly forgot about this.

But, since you obviously remember such details of my life better than I do...

it was how many years ago when this happened?

yet, to this day, you still talk about it regularly.

cuz, once again, you act completely obsessed with me.

What a standup guy! Lied to his generals that Putin and the Russians were coming to back them up, and didn't bother to tell his brother or cousins he was blowing the Popsicle stand*.

No doubt, Trump was taking notes.

You're ready bad information. Shocking.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/P ... xpenditure.

"Through the mechanisms detailed above, we predict that a single-payer healthcare system would require $3.034 trillion annually."

To my knowledge, the US does not spend $3 trillion a year, every year, on foreign wars.

there are nearly 200 countries on this planet, depending on how you slice it

of those (at least as far as i can tell), somewhere in the 70-80 range have some of “state-sponsored” healthcare, but there’s a ton of variation and nuance

only one country, ONE, has truly 100% free healthcare for its citizens…Brazil

our system sucks, and is broken, but lying/exaggerating out of ignorance for dramatics is tiresome

oops, I forgot to add, "Literally every other developed country has some sorta nationalized healthcare[/I]

my bad!

Don't worry tho, there's still plenty of third-world healthcare systems to which we can compare.

oh, and thanks for the reminder why it's worth keeping trad on ignore these days. He used to be such a cool dude. But he's devolved into such a bitter, petty person. It's tragic.

dangit.

I've had Trad on ignore, per Trad's own request, and cuz Trad's content is pretty sad to see any more.

But, go figure Trad's going full Illannoy now too, and quoting me even though he knows I have him on ignore.

But if you ask him, the annoying one is me...yet he somehow still will not, or cannot, just ignore me too.

moving right along.

Happy anniversary of this:

"This is a farewell kiss from the Iraqi people, you dog! This is from the widows, the orphans, and those who were killed in Iraq!"

Honestly, I wish someone would subject Biden too to some sort of wakeup call performative protest...though, nonviolently, of course. I'm afraid this administration's legacy is not going to age well...just a gaffe-laden jingoistic blue hiccup bookended by Trump.

Speaking of nonviolently...the dood who threw the shoes was promptly arrested and beaten, suffering a broken nose and teeth. He then spent six months in prison, where he says he was tortured. I hope we can all condemn that much too, but who knows.

And, besides...

(actually, and all violence aside, apparently throwing shoes is a powerful insult in Arabic culture)

Arab Culture: The insult of the shoe.

As the Russians retreat in Syria, at 3:00 in this video, a Syrian is holding the bottom of his shoe up to the convoy as it drives by, as an insult.
