What’s the over-under on who’ll be the first one to flip out over continued references to President Musk?

Trump, 100%.

Before inauguration, he will not share the spotlight.

Then, Musk will…as psycho billionaires do…turn on Trump.

The people that REALLY matter…K Street…already know this.

Wasn’t your boy Jimmy Carter the dipshit who gave it to them in the first place?

I’ll just say this - a superpower-in-decline picking petty territorial, resource and culture fights with its neighbors sure does seem familiar.

It’s actually pretty simple: we paid for the construction of the canal and protected it for decades. When Carter, and ultimately, Obama, gave it to Panama, it was a gesture of goodwill.

When Panama turns around and charges ridiculous prices for us to use the canal for trade purposes and, on top of that, cozies up to China in alignment against us, a message needs to be sent; and if the message is not heeded, action needs to be taken.

Standing around while our former allies screw us over is how we got into this mess in the first place. A few asses will need to be kicked for order to be restored. Thankfully, we have an incoming POTUS who sees this and is willing to act.

There is no "we're taking the canal back" action that is available to Trump. This is nearly as stupid as the talk over annexing Canada. It's beyond stupid that it is even being discussed.

Oh, sane people think that there is no such action that is available to Trump.

But Russia took Crimea. Look at other post-Soviet "imperialist" actions by Russia (giggle, but Kamala wasn't liberal enough).

Trump quacking all of this lunacy about our North American neighbors and near-neighbors sure seems familiar.

It’s his thing. Make an outrageous demand so you can get the less outrageous one you were after to begin with. Panama will get the message loud and clear.

One of these days someone is going to say no.

And at that time, then your whole theory of things depends on whether Trump will or will not stick to his guns. And either option is bad for us.
