there are nearly 200 countries on this planet, depending on how you slice it

of those (at least as far as i can tell), somewhere in the 70-80 range have some of “state-sponsored” healthcare, but there’s a ton of variation and nuance

only one country, ONE, has truly 100% free healthcare for its citizens…Brazil

our system sucks, and is broken, but lying/exaggerating out of ignorance for dramatics is tiresome

But we have at least one other particular thread to discuss that very issue.

With the issue presented in this thread here today, bear in mind there are more similarities than differences between the two major party candidates and platforms.

Just a nonsensical thing to say.

One party would bend the knee to Putin (and by extension, Xi), and rattle sabers at North American neighbors and near-neighbors.

The other would not.

Even if we limit this discussion to just the countries mentioned today, the United States does have a history of invading, occupying, or otherwise rattling sabers with all three, including the invasion of one of those countries within your and my lifetime, with bipartisan support to boot.

That’s to say - these latest comments make me kinda wonder whether it’s just Trump talking out of his ass again, or whether Trump is actually saying the quiet part out loud, and the U.S. really does have more imperial ambitions in these places.
