I imagine they had those cool 35” offset wheels with 44” tires?

Absolutely the WORST type of tire for bad weather conditions
I have this image in my head of the drive selector switches still being in 2H.

These show trucks are all the rage at the SEMA show in Las Vegas. Half of them don't even have front driveshafts.

Solving driveshaft angles for these stupid lifts is very difficult, almost impossible for the shorter front shafts.

Right. Yes, I passed one that couldn't get up a modest grade, with back wheels spinning (and, I'd have to imagine, no sandbags over the rear axle).

Those trucks are built to impress a certain group…other folks that think monster trucks are cool.

They are absolutely worthless at anything other than that.

I wasn't aware you had moved to Oklahoma.

I sold my Tacoma to Joaquin when I bought the F150. He asked me last week if I had drive shaft issues before.

Me: You mean before you did the 3 inch lift and put 33 inch extra wide tires on the truck? Nope, not before that. It ran great.

Weather is cold and overcast today here in KC. We were about to start the stabilization of a four story historic structure this week. But over the weekend they had some homeless folks break in and start a fire to keep warm. The FD hosed the place down and now it is covered in ice and smoke. Luckily the windows broke and so there will be some sunlight inside? Today I will go inside to see what is salvageable. In nicer weather these operations suck, with everything coated in ice it really sucks. Falling through a floor hurts, even if you catch yourself and don't go all the way down. It will start with a 15 minute argument with the Owner about why I should go in alone first. She is in her late 70's and I may need to move fast. She is not fast.

WhistlinDiesel made some amusing vids with a SEMA truck.

He's kind of gone downhill - he's becoming this status-obsessed materialistic tool that his former self would've made fun of, and the latest "I get my deposit back on a Corvette scammer" is so cringe - but this is for another thread.

I left Dallas on the 26th, driving to Vancouver Wa. I have experienced every type of weather imaginable.

Still, amazing trip!

I've still never been. I need to go. Although I've had several people tell me if I go visit I'll never come back
