Psych? Right down the middle?
He’s letting the world leaders know that there is an actual leader in charge again and the big dog will go back to eating first. It’s rhetoric designed to send a message, and that message is being received. You saw how Trudeau responded.

I’m not worried that I’ll have to update my world geography to include Canada as a part of the U.S. or to add the Gulf of America.
The same world leaders that laugh at him?
Tell me, what exactly did "Big Dog" Trump "eat first" during his first term as President?
What is the "message"? That he's an idiot?
Yes, I saw how Trudeau responded. Basically told Trump to go fuck himself.
You are right not to worry about updating your world Geography.
a. Canada is not going to be a part of the U.S.. Unless we declare war upon them - and win the war?
b. Call it whatever you want. Gulf of Mexico, Gulf of America, Gulf of the United States, Donald John Trump (and Elon Reeve Musk?) National/International Golf Course. It doesn't really matter.

Trudeau announced he was resigning as PM. He'll be out in the next six weeks. I anticipate that the Canadian government will take a right turn this year.

World leaders may act like they are laughing, but in private, they're wondering what he's going to do next. Trump told Trudeau he'd lay tariffs on Canadian-built cars, and Trudeau crapped himself on his way out the door. Mexico will tighten up their immigration policy because they are afraid that Trump will collapse their already shitty economy with tariffs and economic sanctions as well.

wait, i thought ours was the shitty economy

this is hilarious:

He’s letting the world leaders know that there is an actual leader in charge again and the big dog will go back to eating first.

trump himself is a laughing stock. open your eyes…world leaders don’t respect him or fear him. they know the power behind the office, the US military, and our economic buying power (despite our oh so shitty economy)

there are zero people in this world actually scared of trump himself

You do realize the only message that foreign leaders are getting is "the clown is back in town", right? None of them think he is serious just as you don't take him seriously. He is a literal joke amongst world leaders.

I don't think you have to like or even respect someone to be a little afraid of what they might do. It is preferable to the world literally laughing at us for having a pants-crapping, senile, sock puppet propped up in the big boy chair like some kind of Weekend at Bernie's remake.

Eh, Trump is a pants-crapping senile sock puppet who is opening the vault to Fort Knox and letting billionaires pick us clean.

Yeah, we also saw the last four. I'll take the ones before that (minus the plandemic) any day.

Since he personally, was fine and a Republican was in office then the assumption is that everything in the country was fine. But when he was fine and a Dem was in office then the assumption was that the country was going to shit. He's pretty transparent.

They say timing is everything.

I have been listening obliquely to a book on tape the last two weeks that my wife checked out at the recommendation of a counselor. She sits in the living room listening while I am on the other end of the couch reading something else, but stopping and absorbing her book. I am guessing that as a counselor you are familiar, “Why Does He Do That?”. My wife’s father, she often describes as a “less successful trump”. She is delving into the relationship with her family and abusive family trauma. It’s interesting how much of trump’s behavior does seem to fall into certain categories.

So trump exhibits a lot of classic abuser behavior. And here you are championing it as some sort of heroic or admirable leadership trait? His irrational behavior is an abuser's tactic. In my experience there are abusers and bullies, and they often have their cheerleaders and wannabe toadies.

So which are you?

As a counselor who works with families why would you tout this behavior in grandiose terms?

Seriously, you should seek help. I fear for your wife and daughter.

The legion of incels and wannabes and toadies are having their day by proxy through trump. History says their reign of terror is fleeting and destructive, and their fall from grace is hard. Eloon and trump will be fine in their golden parachutes, but the rest of you will likely not fare so well.

The devaluing of Kamala as a "slut", "whore", "a drug addict" and "stupid" was a tell. Complaining about the economy is a cover which falls apart upon close inspection.

Enjoy your day in the sun.

For those of you not familiar with this book, here is a short synopsis. See what you think.

I’m not championing it. I am pointing out WHY he is doing it.

I would also argue that behaviors that are productive and even necessary in one’s capacity as POTUS are pathological and objectionable in an interpersonal context. Nobody’s arguing that he’s a good husband or a candidate for Elder at the local church. At least nobody I know.
