Re: trumpty plumpty
Im curious.
For all those who said Kamala wasn't visible and didn't do anything (i agree with this). Has anyone seen JD Vance? is he on a milk carton yet?

Not "your" party. Yes, I have voted Democratic, and have worked for many Democrats and the Democratic Party, but I fully consider myself as an "Independent" voter. As the election on November 5th proved (in regards to Republicans and "independents" that I voted for).JKLivin wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 8:51 amI have no problem admitting when people are accomplished and powerful. Let's be honest, she was pretty much ASS as a Presidential Candidate, and I felt has/had close to zero "likability", and did have multiple significant flaws.
That's being said by someone (me) who fully admits I was ignorant and fooled 4+ years ago when she was running as VP, because I shamefully admit I was SOMEWHAT "enamored" with her.
The fact that I typically lean left when voting, and had an extremely difficult time deciding who to vote for when Donald Trump was one of my choices, sort of speaks volumes about how I felt/feel about her.
Giggles, on the other hand, as you so eloquently put it, was "pretty much ASS" as a candidate, was unlikeable, and inspired zero confidence. And, yet, somehow it is the voter's fault that they held their nose and voted for the lesser of the evils.
Given a choice between Trump and Tulsi Gabbard, I wouldn't even have had to think about it. But your party had to prop up the DEI candidate and then double down when it became obvious that she was not up to the task. That's on you, not me.

Re: trumpty plumpty
good question!
let's give it a quick google...
https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-sho ... rcna187119...Vice President-elect JD Vance resigned his Senate seat at midnight Thursday, clearing the way for his swearing-in alongside President-elect Donald Trump on Jan. 20. Vance, R-Ohio, notified Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, who will choose his successor, of his plans in a letter Thursday afternoon.
...
Nevertheless, Vance’s career on Capitol Hill is hardly the stuff of legend: Over the course of two unremarkable years, the Republican passed no bills, led no committees, and failed to play a leadership role on any issues. Trump — the only candidate to ever reach the White House without any experience in public service at any level — tapped him for the GOP ticket anyway. (The Ohioan will soon become the least experienced U.S. vice president in nearly nine decades.)
More recently, the vice president-elect invested some of his political capital into Matt Gaetz’s bid to become the next attorney general, personally escorting the former congressman from Senate office to Senate office, urging his colleagues to confirm Gaetz, and putting his credibility on the line. Soon after, the Florida Republican withdrew from consideration.

Realize, I am only speaking on behalf of myself here.....
While I feel Trump is a buffoon, my life was ok with him as my President. In fact, in a couple of ways it improved. Sure, in some ways he had a negative impact too but overall - I survived the 4 years of Trump fairly well. I have no idea what great or what terrible things would/could happen (or not happen) and what impact a Harris Presidency would have had on my life - but she has never served as President so I can't say she has "proven" to me that she is more "competent and qualified" to be President than Trump is - other than perhaps she MAY (key word MAY) be more sane than he is? Meanwhile, like Trump but in a different way, she's more than a bit "off" to me too.
I can't figure out what specifically that you feel "proves" Kamala Harris is/would be more "competent and qualified" to be the President of the United States than Donald Trump would be.
Can/will you please elaborate?

It doesn't matter any more and frankly, I am tired of discussing it. We had these same discussions for months. Trump is our next President and we'll have to deal with whatever happens.RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 11:32 amRealize, I am only speaking on behalf of myself here.....

you are a rotten apple if you root against your commander and chief.
Re: trumpty plumpty
I must be one rotten apple then, cuz I do root against my commander
and since you brought it up, I also chief too...why, you holding?

Re: trumpty plumpty
Just a thought, but there might be a causal link between your vocational struggles and your proclivity for chiefing.

Re: trumpty plumpty
Bro not to doubt your expertise in vocational struggles, but since you brought it up, please know I'm actually quite successful in my vocation....as a budtender at a dispensary.
And, while chiefing may be frowned upon in other industries - this one expects me, like any other professional, I'm expected to convey a thorough understanding of my products I sell.
for real you should see the way I can upsell Japhy on the Carlton Bragg Kush!

I’m doing exactly what I want to do for a living and it’s going great. You’re the one always complaining about not liking your job and being asked to work too much.BiggDick wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 1:29 pm Bro not to doubt your expertise in vocational struggles, but since you brought it up, please know I'm actually quite successful in my vocation....as a budtender at a dispensary.

The difference is, the last four years we had a POTUS with progressive dementia symptoms who was decompensating before our eyes, and managed to do a remarkably shitty job, even when taking his medical problems into account. You’re going to bitch just to bitch.

AKA you were justified because Biden is old but Trump was just fine when he raped women, mishandled covid to the tune of hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths, mocked the disabled, intentionally handled classified documents including showing them to people who did not have clearance, pulled us out of numerous climate agreements, sold our envirinment to Big Oil, let Iran develop nuclear weapons, etc...JKLivin wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 3:50 pmThe difference is, the last four years we had a POTUS with progressive dementia symptoms who was decompensating before our eyes, and managed to do a remarkably shitty job, even when taking his medical problems into account.
