One dynamic that may or may not have played a part, and I'm not saying it did in this case, but it's an accepted phenomenon:

PhDs teach medical students, no matter how dumb we are when we show up.
PhDs know more about their area of expertise on a basic science level, than medical students and doctors.
Doctors take what they learned from PhDs and foist it on the public.
PhDs generally make significantly less than physicians, and some resent it.

It feels slanderous to suggest that possibility when in reality, I don't know nothin' about PhD, other than he lifts, likes sports, and donuts.

Someone should send this to him. Maybe it'll piss him off enough, he'll come back to set the record straight, and tell me to go fuck myself?

PhD left on his own accord. Unfortunately, the "experts" opinions were constantly shifting throughout covid. Go back and see even faucci continually change his stances and contradict himself. A lot of data was manipulated for political reasons, and when the science played out, the drastic approach to covid the experts like PhD wanted proved to be folly. I wasn't right about everything, but I was right about a lot, and that embarrassed PhD after he wasted so much time arguing with me. There is nothing stopping him from coming back and talking basketball. Or just ignoring me, and talking politics. But what kind of person can't handle some message board debate?

I don't think i have superior knowledge of microbiology. I took a simple common sense approach to a virus that we knew for an absolute fact, all along, that 99 %+ of immune systems were fully equipped to handle

"Experts" overcomplicated it, got some things wrong, and created far more problems than just the virus. Some of it was down deliberately to use for political and financial gain, and some was unintended consequences from good intentions

The reason I defended it, was for some reason, this was the catalyst to a temper tantrum that led to a bunch of people being suspended from the board. Someone was taking out their frustrations on posters they know didn't vote for biden
