First comment, 10 years ago: Just saw Rosanne Cash in KC at the old Folly Theater with husband John Leventhal. From the moment she walked on stage I could feel the biggest smile on my face. She was even better than I hoped she would be. What an American treasure someone who really is a splendid artist. I have so much respect for her.

On another music related note. I was sitting at Venice Beach watching people play paddle tennis when two women sat next to me on a bench. 59 year old woman from Manchester England and her "close to" 90 year old mother. Told her I am from Chicago and she went in to how much she loves Acid House music and that it originated in Chicago. Yes, I knew that. She told me she is writing a book about it. I had no idea that it became as popular as it did in the 80s in the UK. She started talking to me about Ron Hardy and Frankie Knuckles and I told her I saw them many times.
