Maybe not though, Beard may be on the move
He's in a shitty spot. Deserves a better job with a top-tier program, but nothing available. If UT wins the NIT, can/will they fire Shaka? Biding his time, he runs the risk of squandering his best chance.
I could/should have expanded on my comment. He may not leave TT this summmer, but he is bound for a better job soon. In the unlikely event that Self leaves KU, Beard is one of the top 3 candidates.

I have no idea what he desires, but any major program has him on the short list. If I were UCLA I’d throw $7-10M per year at him right now. With the current state of that conference he could absolutely dominate the entire western third of the US.

Nah, lobster already told us that Hoiberg took the better job at Neb. Who wants UCLA...with its access to all of southern California recruits, history, tradition, blueboodness...

And thus ended the coaching career of Fred Hoiberg...

Pretty funny that people assume UCLA would be a better job than Nebraska. I live in Los Angeles and if I were a coach, I would choose Nebraska. Not everything out here is what it seems. You've got to look at the unseen.

For starters, that's just cuz you hate living in LA. Second, yes, there are many jobs better than UCLA. Third, no, Nebraska isn't one of them. It's a volleyball school.

Maybe I just have ptsd from Mason getting blocked over and over but UK seems to always have the best transition defense, probably because they are always taller at just about every position

Well, sort of. The refs didn't call a foul on those last two shots UK took. I was surprised. Lots of contact happened. Auburn had enough time to get a fastbreak bucket, but they shoot at 3?!
