"Continuity of government" training?
I’m not exercised by this. I’ll bet we drill on plans to invade England.

I was gonna say Canada, but maybe that didn’t seem like such a good example.

Why on earth would he say that in a press conference? He should have left that out entirely. Fucking amateur hour. What a cluster fuck. This administration couldn't have looked any more clownish and nonserious with their handling of this.

why say it?

“continuity” = previous administration
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

I do think that this was mostly about this dipshit wanting to drop a line from 24.

If our intent was to threaten Panama with force, I don’t think Rubio would be the messenger.

but wait…i thought our energy costs were going to get cut in half?

Trump says he'll impose tariffs on oil and gas imports next month, and eventually on pharmaceuticals

my god....his "turning on the water " for California was apparently direction the Corps of engineers to open up the dams at the reservoirs and dump the water. In Northern Cali with absolutely no effect on the fires of southern California. the reservoirs that collect the water and store it to allow for irrigation if vast crop lands in the dry months.......

It will be a rough summer for agriculture.

The reservoirs are as far away from LA as NYC is from DC. All this will do is flood farmland now and starve it later. At which time Trump will send Newsom to Gitmo for mismanagement of such a great and beautiful, and now liberated, state.

And the suckers will happily pay $11.99/box for strawberries, because freedom isn’t free.

i know it’s technically not what it means, but the general public absolutely does not

you’re welcome to give that side grace and the benefit of the doubt

i will not - think the language was intentional

I'm not giving grace or benefit of any doubt (and not sure what the implication, if any, was there). I'm also not trying to find things that aren't there. There are lots and lots of things that are, which should be given focus. Not a manipulation of a definition, or a convenience of usage, or whatever the intent was.

All I was saying is that continuity here has nothing to do with Biden. And you quoted the word as that was the perceived/intended definition.

again, i’m not sure the intent wasn’t to blame Biden by using that specific language

even though i know what the language actually means, i can’t recall having ever heard it used in a public setting, tragedy or no

And the people who are going to be affected are those who make up the majority of the minority Californians who voted for Trump! You’d be hard pressed to miss the anti-Democratic signs as you drive through the Central Valley!! I guess that’s the textbook definition of rubes.
