The guy they picked had a pretty good night once when they could actually get him the ball. But yeah, DeJean would have also been an amazing signing there. It's always interesting see how guys turn out when they go to certain organizations. It's part of why I think it's weird that KC seems to be on a bit of a run on bad offensive line draft picks considering Reid's history as an offensive line guy. Maybe it's just a cluster of bummer picks. Maybe it is the reality of always having your 1st round pick being down at the bottom of the round. Most teams usually flame up into the teens with a rare less than awesome season.
Mahomes was the last time KC had a 1st round pick earlier than #21 and he just finished his 8th season. KC is always having to take their offensive line picks after they have been picked through. You can still find some good players in the second round but it's just so much more of a crap shoot. Most of the elite offensive line players seem to go to shitty teams with shitty coaches and get ruined. Every now and then the broken ones can be salvaged. Philly did a good job putting Becton back together at RG after he had the misfortune of being drafted by the Jets. KC's defensive line didn't get much accomplished pressuring Hurts, either.
