Hurt has been a KU lean for two years. I still say a good chance. Dotson, Grimes (or Stanley) Hurt and DMac would be a strong foundation.

Next year's team will be made up exclusively of Tyler's from the rec. center, and we will STILL have trouble clearing them, because Broadmoor won't be able to organize their junior high transcripts in time.

LOL...I couldn't have said it better. And we're stuck with our current head coach....kidding, I love Self.

I'm hearing things could be trending up for KU now that some pieces have fallen in place.

In particular, as it sits right now, if RJ Hampton reclassifies KU is sitting in a really good position for him. Self has an in home visit with him today. A back court of him and Dot would be lethal.
I see Hurt going to Duke. Not much of a surprise there. But of interesting note Hurt will have KU and Kentucky in home for visits this weekend.
KU is still in the running for Stanley. I wouldn't be surpised if Self gets an in home with him before his decision on the 17th. I am also hearing that Duke is trying to make a late run at him. As of right now all signs point to KU or Oregon.
Precious is between UCONN or KU. Memphis could also factor in there.

KU will be in excellent shape if:

(a) any of: (i) Q returns, (ii) Hampton reclassifies and commits, and (iii) Winston commits; and

(b) either Hurt or Achiuwa commits; and

(c) either Doke or Silvio plays for KU next year.

Is Winston going to do the grad transfer for sure? Seems like he's got a decent chance of being drafted.

1. Q is gone. Zero way he returns.
2. I see Hampton coming here as a good possibility but he had mentioned a decision wasn't coming until August. That is late.
3. Stanley looks he is down to Oregon or KU.
4. I had thought that Hurt was a Duke guy. Still believe he is but the race might be closer then I thought.
5. Dok - see point 1.

I believe that KU gets RJ and Precious. Miss on Hurt and Stanley. SdS is ruled eligible.

I doubt we have all of or roster spots filled by August. If he wants to come to KU, we will have a spot open for him. If we sign a grad transfer now, I doubt that will dissuade Hampton from choosing KU in August. That dude would just get bumped over.

RJ Hampton looks like Chalmers to me. An even skinnier Chalmers, Damn he looks like a HS junior (so many HS recruits look like full grown men).

But he'd be a great combo guard to pair with Dotson, and then he can slide over to the PG spot to rest Dotson (assuming Self ever rests a PG ever again). Agbaji as the 3 guard, that's a pretty good backcourt.
