A down year recruiting was to be expected this year as fallout from the trial. UA is back on top recruiting already.

Honestly, I don't blame any of these kids for choosing Duke over Kansas. Especially with the cloud hanging over our program. Duke is hot right now, they are getting so much exposure and love from ESPN the last few years (especially) that they've had big name 1 and dones. There is a different kind of buzz around that program right now, and it's smart for these kids to try to capitalize on it and ride the wave.

"Cloud hanging over the program" is the biggest cop out in the world when it comes to missing recruits. Arizona has the #1 class right now. Louisville and USC are Top 5. All 3 of those teams were implicated worse than Kansas was in the scandals.

It's easy to feel the cloud hanging over having to do with everything going on, but why do you think Louisville and USC are doing this better and KU which has a track record of success and recruiting wins is not doing so hot?

this has less to do with adidas, and more to do with the recruiting staff, imo

unless, and this is entirely possible, its just been a bit of bad luck recently...it wasn't THAT long ago that we got Wiggs...or had a POY followed by a POY candidate

Bad luck and planning. The staff has gone all in on some kids that haven't planned out. Without insider information we have zero idea on why KU has struck out so badly this year. Something is going on though. Ku was considered the heavy favorites for JrE, Hurt and Stanley and barring a complete surprise with Stanley today KU will end up without all three.
