So weird. I say something positive about mitch, and support the statement with stats that show he's a 33% career 3pt shooter....but a few need to make sure we aren't too positive about Mitch this off season.
Mitch was ranked right in the sweet spot where many want us to recruit. Multi year guy. Loves Kansas. Isn't worried about NBA....and yet many are super negative when it comes to him. Can't have it both ways. So which is it?
two things:
There's not a board consensus, and there are a lot of people who post here. It's possible there are a bunch of people who like Mitch and a bunch of people who don't. They may or may not be the same people who like multi-year players. I'm with you that I think Mitch can shoot from the perimeter. I don't think he's gonna stretch the floor, or become a high volume perimeter shooter that scares the opponent, but I think he can hit a three when it's open and I'm more than happy when he shoots one. But the board, collectively, doesn't have to agree on shit.
Second, I don't think that being ranked outside the top 100 is the sweet spot. For me the sweet spot, where you're going to get the players who help your program the most in an area under the curve sense, is 25-50 rankings...so Dok, SDS, and McCormack...or the guys who if they're here, will be ahead of Mitch.
I only came to kick some ass...
Rock the fucking house and kick some ass.
