Poor dear. Doesn't appreciate being called out for a Big Lie.

Will it help you sleep at night if I compare you to Georges Sorel instead?

He was admitting Citizens United is settled law but there has not been a four decade assault on a settled opinion like Roe (there can’t be of course), with which I disagree. But close to three generations are relying on the stability of the Roe decision. The problem with the Roe decision is it gives pro-baby folks a 20-22 week cut-off that late-abortion-as-a-form-of-birth-control people hate.

Reading helps perspective. Do it

No he wasn't.

Reading is fine, but hermeneutic interpretation is something else altogether.

Jesus Christ, DC.

You bring up an entirely unrelated case, then put words in my mouth about it.

At the very least, this doesn’t come across as sincere dialogue.

And in case you haven’t noticed, the ridiculous and overblown HyStEriA about Roe isn’t exactly coming from the left.

Which words did I put in your mouth?

Additionally, if you don't think the hysteria about Roe is on the Left, then you're delusional. You don't really think they railed against Kavanaugh's college drinking because they care about college drinking, do you?

Initially, my response was going to be something along the lines of "Yay federalism," but your (also off-topic) rant about "settled law" made me wonder what qualified as settled law in your opinion.

Sure. His point was that Roe is settled law. Cuz he wants it to be. (And Citizens United isn't cuz he doesn't want it to be).

Bear in mind, this thread is about the Kansas Supreme Court confirming individual rights for women. Not sure why Citizens United was even brought up...unless you’re trying to Dodge the topic yourself.

Would you care to comment on this Kansas Supreme Court decision?

And if you’d care to explain how it’s the Left who is so hysterical about Roe than the Right, please do.

What's to say?

That it's further proof that the Left's HySTeriA about Roe is ridiculous and overblown?

Well...OK. If you insist.

It's further proof that the Left's hYstERIa about Roe is ridiculous and overblown.

Yup, citizens united is settled law, sure.

But just wait til the 2048 election, when the Left collectively holds their noses and rallies behind an otherwise pathetic candidate just for the sake of stacking scotus in hopes of overturning Citizens United, then we’ll see!

And you DO think that the railing against Kavanaugh’s college drinking was cuz they care about college drinking? (You sure it wasn’t cuz he was lying about his college drinking while testifying about whether he sexually assaulted a young woman while drinking at a party?)

And how is a Kansas Supreme Court decision proof that the Left is hysterical about Roe? (Simply doubling down that the Left is hysterical about Roe isn’t proof that the Left is hysterical about Roe)

I can’t tell if you’re intentionally trying to be this obtuse, or if you’ve simply forgotten the passwords to your nice rational socks.

Good lord. Fear that Roe might be overturned has dominated the Democrats' judicial strategy for three decades now. To pretend otherwise is just flat-out dishonest.

Asking again: how so?

And more significantly, how is it more so than those on the right who voted for Trump even though they thought he sucks but they thought scotus appointments were more important?

Good heavens, Gutter.

how is a Kansas Supreme Court decision proof that the Left is hysterical about Roe?

Really?

If Roe is overturned, the decisions about abortion revert to the states. And one of the reddest states just affirmed a state constitutional protection to abortion.

Overturning Roe would NOT make abortion illegal. The fact that you don't seem to grasp this is proof that the HySteriA has had the intended effect.
