One of my co-workers has a son on RJs team. He is telling me that RJ is a heavy Memphis lean

Dude, let Grimes go. Doesn't matter if he's drafted or not. He ain't coming back.

If Boogie Ellis and/or Lester Quinones get there first, may change the landscape for Hampton...

I hear you...but I don't think his ego let's him play in Japan, Turkey or sit out a year. He wants the NBA. The NBA doesn't want him, now. I don't see many options for Grimes. The best one in in early June is make peace with playing in a Kansas uniform one more year. At some point, the truth beats us down...

...and hard to guard. Lots of interesting decisions coming up in the next month. I hope we hear on SDS soon as well.

from the commie...

http://www2.kusports.com/news/2019/may/ ... sing-deci/

...Over the weekend, the Kansas basketball program, along with the city of Lawrence and KU’s campus, got their shot at impressing Tucker, who appears to be zeroing in on making a decision about where he’ll send his final season of college basketball next season.

Over the weekend, Tucker told John Martin, who covers Memphis for The Athletic, that he would make a decision in the coming week between his five finalists — Auburn, Kansas, Memphis, Iowa State and West Virginia.

The 6-foot-5, high-scoring, high-flying combo guard now has made visits to four of those five programs — and has said he plans to visit Iowa State before he makes a decision — was in Lawrence over the weekend and essentially live Tweeted his visit on Twitter.

Included in Tucker’s updates were notes about which Lawrence hot spots he was headed to — he visited The Hawk twice — and requests for any fans of Kansas basketball to show up and show him some love...

That's a terrific place to take recruits.

The over abundance of nothingness surrounding KANSAS recruiting is making me twitchy. We got 4-6 to give. Dominoes better start falling.

I need something to fall our way. Anything.

I'll take Dotson coming back over any new recruit. Not that that's enough. We need Dotson and a couple top 100 guys to do anything remotely close to expectations

Scenario...miss out on everyone but you get Dot and SdS back. KU is in good shape for next year but does this start a trend. I can't remember a time when KU has missed out on some many recruits. I don't know if it is the scandal, the coaching staff, philosophy, or mixture of everything but if this staff doesn't start making some major moves soon folks had better start seeing their respective seat get hot.

I've been saying it all along that this current staff needs a shake up. New blood. New philosophies both coaching and recruiting message. I don't want the constant turnover that Beaty had but sometimes change can be good.

What type of realistic expectations can you have on a team that currently has half of their scholarships filled? Maybe I'm alone, but I tend to base my expectations on what is known to be brought to the table.

We get Dotson back and Tucker or Hampton and I think Self has enough to start a B12 streak once again.

And I keep replying with the same thing: that is too reactionary. Rewind just one calendar year: we're fresh off of a Final Four trip and getting ready for the 2nd or 3rd best recruiting class in the nation led by 3 McD AA's.

Nearly everything negative since then has been at least tangentially related to the adidas trial fallout. This is not about needing new blood.

Or, maybe we need new blood BECAUSE of the adidas trial fallout. The old blood got us into this.

Not saying we do or don't . Just, maybe.

I'm not breaking much new ground here, but: Grimes being bad really fucked things up.
