NCAA 19-20

Post by CrimsonNBlue »

Three point line moved back to the International line.

Even with our struggles from deep, this is a great thing going forward.

If anything, it should help teams that are more average, shooting-wise.

Yep. Spacing has been a problem and the 3-ball has been embarrassingly easy.

Plus, Garrett might not even be able to get it to the rim now, so no reason to shoot it.

While we struggled offensively from deep last season, we also struggled ( and typically do ) defensively.
This may help a bit in that department.

I think this is a great move. Probably should push it back to the NBA line and move the NBA line to more in the 26' range

Anyone notice who the committee chair was/is?
My abnormal thinking figures looking further down the road it can/will only help kids who transition to play professionally. Not that my opinion really matters.
In other NCAA Basketball news......
I didn't realize Juwan Howard hired Martelli. Nice hire.

Martelli is a dick.

I don't disagree Geez.
Maybe my saying "nice hire" was my figuring it's not a bad idea to have a guy who has been a head coach of a college program - without giving it too much thought beyond that.
He wouldn't have been my first (or second or third or fourth.....) choice but I assume Ju felt the need to have a guy he knows kids are going to have to respect - and perhaps Martelli came to him?

It's a good hire simply in that he knows the rules a head coach has to pay attention to. Howard has zero experience under the current rule book.

This is what we needed...I hope this make Garrett a 46% shooter from the new 3-point line...hey, it's the off-season

That should be interesting, especially at the end of the half, and game.

I wish anyone in Colorado cared about Colorado hoops enough to bother trash talking.

Most confident horrible shooter I've ever seen, he'll just pull up mid-range
