The Keys are sweet.
Key Largo is awesome.
Key West is too touristy.
Islamorado is cool.

Huh? I've lived in several cities and the people here are by far the least fat of any.

When the pronunciation of a place name is not simply a matter of local accent, such as New Orleans, I've learned to listen to local radio and tv stations to learn how to pronounce the name of a place in the United States. Worcestor, Massachusetts, is pronounced "Wooster" (short oo as in "look"), and Natchitoches, Louisiana, is pronounced "Nackatish," for instance. People who are not from Kansas seem to think it's silly that the river that flows through Dodge City, Great Bend Hutchinson, and Wichita is pronounced as it is spelled from the Colorado line to the Oklahoma line, instead of being pronounced "Arkansaw." Likewise, they think it's silly that Arkansas City is pronounced as it is spelled, instead of "Arkansaw City." A question for them: Why are natives of the state of Arkansas called "Arkansans." That's what they are called on their own radio and tv stations.

kinda like how y'all tourists pronounce Colorado resort towns as they're spelled, such as "Buena Vista" and "Crested Butte", even though all the locals call them Boner Vista and Crusty Butt?

Nope, a true Coloradoan calls Buena Vista "Beeyoona Vista". I'll agree with Crusty Butt though.

It's on my list, as a SWA-captive traveler. I don't have it above Turks & Caicos, Aruba or Grand Cayman. Maybe I'm wrong?

People dying in resorts.
Baseball players shot in the back.
I’ve been, it was beautiful, much like all of those islands with white sand and aquamarine oceans, but it’s down on the list.

when I've travelled to all the beautiful beaches the beautiful first world countries have to offer, I will start traveling to the beautiful beaches that the 3rd and 4th world countries have to offer. Luckily for me there is a never ending supply of beautiful beaches in the beautiful first world.

I have to say - the beach in Marco Island, Florida is as good as any I've been to in Hawaii, Mexico or Jamaica.

Not an interest of mine. But we did rent a boat and set off island-hopping, just the two of us. Saw some giant-ass turtles and other sea fauna. Something we would not have felt comfortable doing outside the US.

We're narrowing in on Maldives next summer (Bali also being a contendor). I'm sure MICH would love being in 1 of only 2 100% Muslim countries.
