Spot minutes I'm guessing unless he is better than advertised. Even though he has said the right things in regards to developing and waiting his turn it is another story when you go from playing 30+ minutes a night and being the man to coming off of the bench playing 5 or 6 minute bursts because he is stuck behind Agbaji, Garrett and Moss.

Generally speaking, the position- and ranking-parallels at KU would be, what, the McLemore/Releford/Svi/Greene types?

I think he plays more if we play more 4 guards out than we anticipate. Otherwise, I foresee him having to compete with Braun for backup minutes at the 2 and 3. Plus, Bill doesn't play a lot of 6'8" guys at guard.

Sounds about right, although I think McLemore was higher thought of but took a nose dive b/c of missing some HS ball when the school closed.

Well, that's about it, right? His role on the team would be to compete with Garrett for minutes at the four-out 4.

And I gather I am much, MUCH lower on Garrett than most on here (but not lower than his shots, that would be subterranean).

Yeah, just a real non-impact recruiting class this year.

The guy we NEEDed was Hampton. Good thing the rules are keeping him from playing here. We don't want to watch the best basketball players anyway!

Right. Thank goodness we went 3/4 in possible returners (including two AA-types and another that was, in my book anyway, about a 5% chance to ever play for KU again).

Give me Enaruna, McBride, Braun ( and maybe Wilson?? ) over Hampton.

Except that the choice was not (a) Enaruna, McBride, Braun ( and maybe Wilson?? ), or (b) Hampton. That's a false choice.

Also, while it's likely that, when all is said and done, the group we have coming in will do more than Hampton would have, Hampton would have done more (next year) than the group will.

Dunno that.
If I recall, you thought Grimes was the second coming of Wiggins.

I don't recall thinking that.

One spot to leave for Walker just in case he moved into 2019 class.
