NBA Offseason
Re: NBA Offseason
On one hand Zion has as much star potential as anyone, but on the other hand I kinda get the feeling he’s gonna end up all fat.

Definitely not sold on Zion yet, but you have to take him and seems like a 98.5% chance he's going to be a max player in Contract 2.

Illy brought more than twocoach ever has...and it's not even that close.
I only came to kick some ass...
Rock the fucking house and kick some ass.
Rock the fucking house and kick some ass.
Re: NBA Offseason
Too bad Illy isn’t here to argue that you’re totally wrong about that
...then in the very next post argue with himself about how maybe you aren’t wrong after all.

And, he is second best player in the family...third if you ask Daddy Ball.

Dedric Lawson over/under draft position set at 55.5.
Re: NBA Offseason
Yeah. LeBron isn’t the best GM
Re: NBA Offseason
...and yet, barring some intense late-career luck, he'll finish behind Michael (and Kobe and Duncan) in titles.
Re: NBA Offseason
Oh no. The horror.
It's amusing that some KU fans can think of a million reasons and stats to rank KU over Kentucky, Duke and Carolina despite less titles, claiming "there's more to a season that the tourney results" but continue to hold NBA titles up as the measuring stick of an NBA players greatness.
Which is it?

Re: NBA Offseason
Oh, I know. But just a reminder that just because "lots and lots of people" think doesn't mean it's a good idea...
4 in 10 Americans dont know what Auschwitz was.
37% of polled Americans could not name a single right protected by the Bill of Rights and 33% could not name one branch of the government.
25% of polled Americans thought the sun orbited the earth.
34% or Americans reject evolution entirely.
We are a nation with "lots and lots" of morons.
Re: NBA Offseason
Agreed! But if Bron wants a bulletproof GOAT argument, he's got to at least tie MJ. He's not going to, in my opinion largely because of his own failings as a pseudo-GM.
Re: NBA Offseason
This pseudo-GM still got him to the finals v Golden State four times - of which he won one.
It also got him two titles in Miami and to the finals every year he was there.
I don't think he was a 'psuedo-GM' in his first stint in Cleveland.
Maybe this last Lakers decision was a bad one ( we'll see ) but I don't think three titles in eight chances, with all eight chances resulting in a Finals appearance, is really a 'fail' if we are considering him a pseudo-GM.
His psuedo-GMing just ran into a juggernaut of a Warriors team.

Honestly, they shouldn't have even won the one against Golden State.pdub wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2019 11:26 am This pseudo-GM still got him to the finals v Golden State four times - of which he won one.

In any case, my opinion is that he hasn't handled his post-Cavs time in a way optimized to win multiple additional titles.
Re: NBA Offseason
Post-Cavs being his going to the Lakers?
Or his going to Miami?
Or his going to Miami?

Re: NBA Offseason
There were a lot of bad signings in Cleveland in the first stint, too (Mo Williams, anyone), that were made, at worst, after nudging by LeBron to sign whatever was available.jfish26 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2019 11:31 amHonestly, they shouldn't have even won the one against Golden State.pdub wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2019 11:26 am This pseudo-GM still got him to the finals v Golden State four times - of which he won one.

They probably got screwed by Boozer, but it's interesting he didn't want to play with LeBron.
