She's too radical, and fortunately there's better candidates. Best she can hope for is vice president. That would hurt the other person's ticket though. Biden sucks though, I agree. Biden is the last person democrats should want.

I agree Harris is too extreme. But the base will love her. Blech.

Biden is trying to play prevent D. Not working well.

Harris was the winner in this mess.

Not sure why you quote me there and say lulz - I said that the base will love her and that she's doing great in an earlier post.

And I duly quoted you posting that.

The lulz was for you and that alleged "liberal" lobster calling her "too radical" and "too extreme".

So, how is she "too extreme...Blech"?

She won't have a chance. Warren is much more likely to win the nomination.

Warren and Sanders seem to be the furthest left of the group of actual contenders. I dont like either of them.

Too extreme to the left. National minimum wage doubling, elimination of private health insurance altogether, free 600 a month for anyone under 100,000, etc.

That's extreme relative to me, not the vocal Democratic base. Like I said, they'd love her.

Maybe, but I don't think that's really going to matter in this context of this election. People took a chance and elected a big wildcard with Trump, I don't think it's anymore unlikely that Sanders or Warren will win. Once you open that door for people like Trump to win, it's possible for pretty much anyone. Again, I would rather have Yang/Gabbard, but I hate to admit that I think it's less likely they will be the ones.

I agree with you in the context of the general election when it is Trump vs. the Democratic nominee but there's a democratic candidate every 10 feet along the line between the center and the far left. It will absolutely matter where on that line you are when it comes time for the Democratic primary. I look forward to the field being weeded down to a handful vs this noise. There's no chance that when my democratic primary vote comes around that I will be voting for those at the far left end. I simply do not agree with some of their core stances.

The nice thing about having this many candidates for this long is that there are going to be a lot of ideas on a broad range of platform issues between now and when the Dem ticket is finally formed. All of the conversations and polling about how the public feels about them should in theory help the eventual Dem ticket winners put together a pretty solid platform.

"They'd love her" is pretty broad at this point. There's something to like and something not to like about virtually all of the top tier of Dem candidates at this point. In addition to the pile of in my opinion far too extreme platform issues she has, Warren just bugs me; I don't know how best to describe it. It's not her being a woman, I have no problem with that. Frankly, I'd prefer to have a female President; all this macho, testosterone driven BS is nauseating. Her mannerisms and speech patterns just makes me anxious and uncomfortable. I have similar issues with thin, twitchy, anxious, higher pitched men.

I like Kamala. Good lawyer questioning.

She does need to unbutton one more button on her blouse and maybe sport a peekaboo camisole.

5 thoughts about last night.

People who were impressed with Kamala.....
More impressed with her finding fault/s in her opponents or more impressed with what they feel she herself will (and won't) do? I do like the thought of a bully standing up to a bully when it comes down to the Presidential election.

Horrible for the Dems when the frontrunner was overshadowed and had a bad showing?
Tough when you have to be in defense mode all the time against those in/of your own party.

Is Biden not the best candidate the Dems currently have to offer to serve the people of the United States? If not, who is? After the last 2 nights do people really believe Kamala is?

Mayor Pete choked. NEVER admit you "couldn't get it done"/failed unless you are 100% sure it will gain you genuine sympathy.

Bernie Sanders is an excellent SNL character. He's been reoccurring like a broken record for years.
Really has nothing to offer that he didn't offer 6 years ago and if he thinks that's going to win him the nomination I think he is sorely mistaken.

It's never horrible to have a perceived frontrunner pushed and questioned. We all saw what happened in 2016 when the nominee was chosen long before the formal process even started. Clinton was crowned damn the consequences without giving any thought.

Biden is the perceived frontrunner because everyone knows him. He hasnt actually proven to be the best choice, he is just the most recognizable choice at this point. I have no problem with that being challenged.

It's way too early to crown anyone as "the best choice". The job they are shooting for is far too important to wrap up the run after one 2 hour performance. There is months and months of work and vetting to do.

Biden pretty much finished, and as he stated last night when his debate time was ending. "my time is up". He's just not like the younger Joe. Kamala flattened him. But then again,"put ya all back in chains".
