I don’t know about that, considering how the Brazilians dominate bull riding these days. ‘Cause

Second Marvin and Mark Garrett are huge assholes.
Third, post event interviews
Fourth, any events that are judged are not a sport by my definition of a sport.
Fifth too long, too boring, too hot, and smell like shit.
Sixth, the way anyone who says bull riders overemphasizes both 'r's in riders like they're doing a sam elliot impression
Seventh, not sure if I mentioned this or not, wrangler jeans, cowboy hats, and Giant belt buckles.
1 & 7) Cowboy hats are great for protection from the sun, etc...they're functionally great. Rodeo guys wear them the same way that rich housewives wear handbags. If you're event lasts 8 seconds, you don't need protection from the sun...you'd be better off getting protection from the bull and wearing a helmet and facemask.TDub wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 11:31 amPhDhawk wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 9:08 amFirst and foremost, the uniform.

1.Uniform is great
2. Point granted. But jim sharp and lane frost make up for them
3. True for any sport
4. So you must like the bulldoggin, and ropin events
5. Disagree. Although usually is hot. Smells terrific. Love the smell of rodeo.
6. Ehh. Maybe
7. Wranglers and cowboy hats are great. Buckles I could take or leave. The thing I dont like is when guys wear random huge buckles. If you're gonna sport the buckle you damn well better have won it not bought it.
False. There was no outcry. Nike pulled it after Kaepernick privately pointed out that some folks consider that Betsy Ross flag to represent a time in our nation's history where residents of our nation were slaves and treated as property to be owned.TDub wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2019 6:23 pmNike pulled their shoe with the flag due to the outcry. My question is why is there an outcry?Feral wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2019 2:07 pmWho is not allowing anyone else to "celebrate" our flag?TDub wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2019 1:11 pm Perhaps I'm not fully understanding the issue as I havent spent much thought on it. But, what is the big deal? That WAS our flag when we gained independence correct? Why are we not allowed to celebrate that? Because oppression and slavery existed? Are we supposed to forget the first 80 years of our country and not celebrate any of the good that happened during that time?
Our citizens just need to be aware that not all points on our nation were as celebratory to others as they were to us. Much of my ancestral line has been in this country owning land, going to school and enjoying the full legal benefits of being a white male since before this nation was a nation. Not everyone has that same ancestral history.
Excellent example. There have been differing viewpoints on Mt. Rushmore since the day it was built. Native Americans certainly have a different opinion of the relevance and meaning of Mt. Rushmore than the masses of white tourist who go visit it.
Crazy Horse >>>>>>>>> Rushmore

In general, we seem to have an inability to see things from the perspective of others these days.
Well I’m rolling down Rodeo with a shotgun, these people ain’t seen a brown skinned man since their grandparents bought one...
