The Williams Fund section had a pretty sub-par selection of beer and just a red or white option on wine. Did have liquor, though.

In other words, I wouldn't hold my breath about your Truly.

I'm not expecting much and I really have no general interest in paying $8 for a Bud Light or a Barefoot Pinot.
Now a delicious $8 Marg or perhaps a $6 Truly I might consider.

I know, I know, but:

It's going to depend on how the rule is written. Is it going to say "beer and wine"? Or is it going to say "wine and pre-made alcoholic beverages containing not more than [6]% ABV"?

Stupid lawyers.

Would almost assuredly be the latter.

Plus it's weird-ass Kansas where you can't buy Tank 7 at Hy-Vee or QuikTrip.

No re-entry to stadium. Leave and you're done.

But having alcohol in stadium should prevent some of that anyway.

Give Long and Co credit, they are doing their absolute best to make Kansas act like a big time program.

No leaving and re-entry, alcohol sales at the game, GA seating is gone (Although tickets are roughly the same price $15 for non-con and $20 for normal conference games, $40 for big conference games, you just have an assigned seat now)

Haha touche. You're right, but it won't be that way during that first game. I think it'll be a decently crowd at Memorial for the first couple of games.

If half of KU fans are half as excited about Miles as you are, it'll look like the Big House when Ohio State is the opponent.

You're right. I am excited about it. Like I'm excited bout all KU sports. But for me, right now, basketball is irrelevant, the Royals stink and football is what I'm looking forward to.

But I also think that the overall level of excitement is there for football that hasn't been there for many years.

I also think this new series that comes out in August will help the interest as well.

Consider me drinking the Kool-Aid. Hell when that series comes out in August I will be flat out drunk.

Do I expect this team to win six games, hell no but I do expect this team to be far more competitive and prepared than any other team since 2008 yes I do. More than anything there is a belief that for the first time in a long time KU football is headed in the right direction. That is what I am excited about more than anything.

A self-admitted kool-aid drinker just stated there's no way in hell he expects 6 wins.

I do think that, with the Pooka situation resolved, Vegas' 2.5 wins line is a bit light.

We'll be favored in only 2 games.

I would guess the math says we go 3-9.

I would predict a 4-8 record. Think they start 2-0 and will pick off a combination of either kstate, WVU, Tech or Baylor at home for the other 2 wins.

This is obvious, but: if I'm holding an over ticket and KU takes care of the two cupcakes, I'm feeling pretty damn good. Event if the remaining ten games, probability-wise, are all 50% or worse (even 35% or worse), you gotta figure we'll pick one off.

My brain tells me 3-9.

My gut says Miles is good for one decent upset to get us to 4-9
