Welcome Dajuan Harris!!!!!!
Re: Welcome Dajuan Harris!!!!!!
Yeah, people are forgetting that Wilson is a multiyear guy too. We built a solid foundation for the next 4 seasons in our '18 and '19 classes. Keep 'em coming!

Do we not think that Ochai won't be around until he's at least a Junior?

I love the idea of guys getting Self's coaching and experience over several years. Self does his best work when they break out of their egotism and listen. Embiid was a special case who learned at high speed. The top draft pick that year did not.

Reminds you of the Robinson/Kaun/Jackson/Giles/Galindo/someone-else recruiting class IIRC. Solid foundation when combined with some stars.

Re: Welcome Dajuan Harris!!!!!!
My only concern about this class is, we’re saying the same OMG WHAT A GOOD CLASS things about this class that we were saying this time last year about the incoming class.
Now quick, somebody gutter meter me up.

No OAD's in this class.
Grimes was for sure. Dotson was on the fringe.
We don't even have a fringe. No McD AA from what I can tell.
I very much agree with mjl that this has a Class of 2004 vibe. Russell was McD, but we found out quickly that he was a 4-year player.

Re: Welcome Dajuan Harris!!!!!!
The difference is last years class included 3 transfers, and didn't include SDS.
Those transfers needed to be good for THAT season, and only one of them was.
We only NEED probably one maybe two (a wing and a backup PG) of the newcomers to be really good THIS season. Any additional players that are good right away is icing on the cake. We can afford to be patient with all our HS recruits this year, they can all be here up to 4 years.

1 or 2 wings.
Garrett is likely the spell at PG.

Those are the spots that are question marks. Fill them however. Other than that, we pretty much know what we've got.

Is this guy a "shooter"? Educate me on what to expect from this guy.

Is Harris for sure a 2020 guy now?

Saw one breakdown say he is more likely to get you 10 assists than he is 10 points. Not because he can't shoot or score, but because he's a pass 1st, 2nd, 3rd type of PG.

Re: Welcome Dajuan Harris!!!!!!
Last word was he was trying to reclassify back to 2019 where he was before sliding down to 2020. I don't think that is a huge process but anything may be difficult when dealing with the NCAA.

Harris confirmed that while he’s enrolling in classes very soon, he’ll redshirt this season and be full go by 2020.
