I'm not sure, at this point, why anyone would oppose an inquiry.
Oppose drafting articles? Sure. Oppose a vote? Yep.
But an inquiry? How do you object to that? Either he's done something that warrants a trial, in which case, OF COURSE the inquiry is necessary. Or he didn't, and the democrats step on their own dick. Either way, what's to oppose?
“We shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.”

I'm not too sure 62,984,828 truly thought it was a "good idea" per se but my guess is most of those 62,984,828 thought it was a better idea than electing "Crooked Hillary". Nuts! Isn't it?
Reminds what I told my mother long before the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton might be a good/great/excellent President but she's just not likable nor electable. Blows my mind that Donald Trump was. The scary part is there are those who did actually want Donald Trump to be their President but foolish me likes to believe there were even more who realized they were given a horse shit choice (choices) to elect someone - other than Hillary - and unfortunately Donald was that choice - and they chose him.

“While the layman sees an opportunity and decides to take it, the professional criminal through the use of deceit and treachery, is able to create opportunities. This individual not only actively searches for a crime to commit, the professional criminal assembles teams of similar people and generates situations in which crime can be safely perpetrated in a controlled environment for maximum profit.”
