Drama queen.

There's a fairly large range of people between Bolton and a "soft puss boy/girl". But you keep doing you.

I'm comfortable being labeled a drama queen. Let me appease you and others in that regard.
I feel our President is a piece of sh*t and our country is a f*cking joke to the rest of the world in regards to our leadership.
You're right that there is a large range of people between "way too hardcore" Bolton and "soft puss boy/girl". The problem is Donald Trump is the one who is deciding who he wants to be our National Security Advisor/Adviser - and he has a shitty history of appointing his own advisors/advisers.

We are further away from being at war now that Bolton has resigned. That's a win.

The fact that Trump is a dipshit and will likely hire another incompetent moron is another topic. But your knuckle-dragging "soft puss" comment is the same mindset applied by Trump when he hired Bolton.

Hopefully you're right that we are further away from war now that Bolton "resigned".
What scares me is that Trump and Bolton (and Pompeo and Mnuchin, and etc., etc., etc) don't even know who/what/why/where/when in regards to Bolton's "resignation" - and yet I and all other Americans are supposed to feel just as safe (if not safer) today without a National Security Advisor/Adviser and Donald Trump as President than I did 3 days ago?
My soft puss comment was in direct deflection of your saying Bolton was way too hardcore. I was being somewhat sarcastic. Thus the reason why I mentioned Tiffany Trump after that.
I apologize. I wasn't a fan of Bolton either.

After the way trump has jerked the Chinese' chain and switched directions on them on a whim. Wasn't it to be expected that the Chinese would start doing the same at some point?

It's just comforting to know that we have such a steady experienced and successful dealmaker running this trade war or it could be a real shitshow.

They know trump is desperate to have a deal done before the election. Time is on their side. And he has proven to them that he is too unstable to deal with, so why bother? Now they are probably just going to fuck with him ( and our economy) until he is gone.

I wish I had known you guys were all about bipartisanship, sooner:

'Game Recognizes Game': A Bipartisan Bond In The Age Of Impeachment

From left, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., and Rep. Doug Collins, R-Ga., are receiving the 2019 Civility Award by Allegheny College for teaming up on criminal justice reform.

House lawmakers Hakeem Jeffries and Doug Collins couldn't be more different.

Jeffries is a Democrat and an avid hip-hop devotee, while Collins is a Republican who favors country music. Jeffries hails from a largely urban New York district, and Collins represents a largely rural pocket much farther south in Georgia.

Yet, somehow this duo found common ground this past year to pass a major policy initiative. And now one of the oldest schools in the country will award them with its Prize for Civility in Public Life.

...

Collins and Jeffries both sit on the House Judiciary Committee, ground zero for an ongoing impeachment inquiry into Trump and on opposite sides of a bitter, partisan fight. Yet, they were able to score a major legislative win this year.

Their first was a bill to protect songwriters in 2013 — and later the two even posted a joint Spotify list of their favorite songs. However, their much tougher work collaboration came with criminal justice reform signed into law in December that helped shorten sentences for some inmates.

Jeffries and Collins say the prize for that work is a major honor.

"It's reflective of the fact that we were able to come together, which meant leadership from Doug Collins, to get things done and make a difference in the lives of the American people in both criminal justice reform and as it relates to the Music Modernization Act," Jeffries said. "And I was proud to partner with him in that regard."

Judge Blocks Trump Administration Plan to Detain Migrant Children

A federal judge issued a final order that prevents the government from enacting its plan to detain children for lengthy periods.

A federal judge on Friday rejected the Trump administration’s new regulations designed to expand the government’s ability to detain migrant children who enter the United States illegally, often to seek asylum with their parents.

The move to supplant a decades-old legal agreement that set strict limits on the incarceration of such children with new government policy was part of a wider campaign by the Trump administration to discourage migrant parents from journeying with their children to the southern border.

Judge Dolly Gee of the Federal District Court in Los Angeles, who oversees the 1997 court settlement known as the Flores agreement, concluded that the administration’s attempt to frame regulations that would carry out the mandate to protect migrant children — but allow them to be detained for long periods — was not adequate.

Donald Trump is losing leverage in trade negotiations with China.

When Vice Premier Liu He travels to Washington this week, the deal he’s prepared to negotiate does not include changes to Beijing’s industrial policies. Government subsidy reform, long a talking point for US negotiators, is now off the table.

That’s according to what senior Chinese officials have discussed with US visitors to Beijing over the past several weeks, as communicated to Bloomberg by sources familiar with those discussions.

When Trump abruptly escalated the trade conflict on August 1, barely a month after agreeing to a ceasefire with President Xi at the G20 in Osaka, many worried the US president had finally overplayed his hand.

Subsequent threats to force US companies to relocate out of China and, more recently, news that the administration is pondering a menu of options for restricting capital flows, underscore the extent to which Trump is prepared to consider draconian measures if it means compelling Beijing to surrender.

And yet, with each passing month, the cracks in the US economy seem to get a bit wider. The worst ISM manufacturing print in a decade was perhaps the biggest blow yet to Trump’s economic narrative. The more fragile the US economy looks, the less leverage the administration has in the trade talks, especially headed into an election year.

Now, with the impeachment inquiry moving ahead at warp speed, Beijing may be smelling blood.

China’s decision to take government subsidy reform off the table is “emblematic of what analysts see as China’s strengthening hand as the Trump administration faces an impeachment crisis and a slowing economy blamed by businesses on the disruption caused by the president’s trade wars”, Bloomberg writes, adding that Trump’s ill-advised decision to publicly call on Xi to investigate Joe Biden “suggests why Chinese leaders, already frustrated with what they see as the president’s impetuous conduct in the trade talks, may see room to take advantage”.

Definitely winning! No longer a nuclear threat and more love letters. This one even has a deadline threat! Dealmaking at it's best! Plus we won the easy to win trade war already didn't we?

SEOUL — North Korea on Sunday gave the Trump administration until the end of the year to change its approach to nuclear negotiations if it wants the talks to continue.

“As we have clearly identified the way for solving problem, the fate of the future DPRK-U.S. dialogue depends on the U.S. attitude, and the end of this year is its deadline,” the North Korean Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The statement came a day after the sides met in Stockholm to restart the talks after an eight-month stalemate – and then disagreed publicly over how they went. The Trump administration described the working-level talks as a “good discussion.” The foreign ministry called them “sickening.”

The top North Korean nuclear envoy, Kim Myong Gil, said Saturday night that the working-level talks had broken off “entirely due to the United States’ failure to abandon its outdated viewpoint and attitude.”

On Sunday, the Foreign Ministry accused the administration of “misleading the public opinion by touting ‘good discussions.’ ”

President Trump said last month that he was open to exploring a “new method” in the negotiations. Kim Myong Gil quickly responded with a statement welcoming the”new method” in place of the “Libyan model” of shipping out North Korea’s nuclear weapons before granting sanctions relief.

The Libyan model had been promoted by John Bolton, who was ousted last month as Trump’s national security adviser.

Chad O’Carroll, chief executive of the Korea Risk Group, said the North Korean negotiators might have gone to Stockholm with a “radical expectation” after Trump fired Bolton and floated a possibility of a “new method” in talks.

“Ahead of what is likely to be a bumpy election campaign for Trump in 2020, it appears that the North may be hoping that the combined effect of the ticking clock and American fears of long-range missile and nuclear tests in the year ahead will stimulate a significant shift in U.S. strategy at the eleventh hour,” O’Carroll said in an analysis posted on the NK Pro website.

The North Korean Foreign Ministry accused Washington on Sunday of “abusing the DPRK-U. S. dialogue for its domestic political events.”

Trump has been duped by the North Koreans. As soon as they saw what a chubbie he got by being The Guy to have North Korea simply at the table, they have been working him over like a fool. Now they are dictating to us their nuclear plan. Great job Mr. "Art of the Deal".

This is what happens when you put a fucking know-nothing moron into the White House. Boy, you Republicans sure showed us!
