2019-2020 Lineup

4 crackers??????
Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Re: 2019-2020 Lineup
When I read this quote, there's shades of Peter talking about Meg in Family Guy:
https://www.kansascity.com/sports/colle ... 76212.html“Udoka is as hard to guard as anybody in America from 3-feet in. He is a load. He’s really improved a tremendous amount. Even being hurt (last season) he found a way to get better. Silvio (De Sousa) ... I know he’s motivated after not playing last year through no fault of his own. I really think David (McCormack) came on, and we have Mitch (Lightfoot) as well. I like our front-line guys. I think we’ll be versatile. Having them back gives us a lot of things most teams don’t have.”
Re: 2019-2020 Lineup
Maybe he’ll get some minutes as a second string 4?
Or a fourth string 5?
Assuming we don’t play a minute of small ball?
Well there’s always senior night?

The interaction between Snacks, Devin, and Christian is pretty good stuff.

Preseason Big 12 POY: Udoka.
Not Devon. Hmmm. Bet that flips for postseason award.

Or not! It's possible, at least, that trim Udoka maintains all of the efficiency and dominance, with counting numbers shooting up because he can stay on the floor.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 10:06 am Preseason Big 12 POY: Udoka.

Something, I'm not sure what, tells me Udoka will go for 13.5 and 7.5 . . .

The full First Team:
Tristan Clark
Tyrese Haliburton
Desmond Bane
Udoka
Devon
I barely know the other 3 dudes.

Like Bane and Haliburton. Who the F is Tristan Clark?

Bane is a good player.
Haliburton did some good things last year on Iowa State but i'm a little surprised that he's on the 1st team.
Where's JimWest to tell us the Big 12 is down?

Re: 2019-2020 Lineup
I will say that the Big 12 First Team is crap this year compared to most other years.
Dotson and Dok are great, without bias, but the other 3 are eh.
Kind of surprised Sneed didn't make the list.

Re: 2019-2020 Lineup
Surprised at this as well. A healthy Udoka is unstoppable, but he has the potential to be irrelevant against teams like Iowa State and OU who play almost a 5 out style of offense.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 10:06 am Preseason Big 12 POY: Udoka.

Re: 2019-2020 Lineup
We go as Devon goes. So many don't realize his importance to our team. Last year was painful, but to think what it would have been with Grimes at point instead of Dotson. :shudder:NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 11:49 amSurprised at this as well. Devon's going to be a 1st/2nd team AA type and is showing up in preseason national hype. So, it's strange to me to not see him as preseason CPOY and that is knowing that Udoka is hopefully a monster with the new physique.

baylor post player. he missed basically the whole season last year with injury. looked really promising the year before as a young player. skilled athletic big guyNewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 10:27 am Like Bane and Haliburton. Who the F is Tristan Clark?
Re: 2019-2020 Lineup
That ISU kid will be pretty good and the TCU kid will have lots of stats due to a pretty depleted roster.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 11:48 am I will say that the Big 12 First Team is crap this year compared to most other years.
