While she acquitted herself fairly well, to not look at or thank/acknowledge Biden after he talked about marshaling votes in the senate for her CFPB bill was a bad look. And, she really dropped the ball when she wasn't willing/able to answer the questions about how she plans to pay for her "Medicare for All" proposal. Seriously? I loved when Klobuchar said: "The difference between a plan and a pipe dream is something you can actually get done. And we can get this public option done.". Exactly. Warren needs to realize that if a "public option"/Medicare for All is such a great idea, why not prove that incrementally, and not risk freaking the electorate out by suddenly ending the employer based health care insurance that 50% of Americans currently rely on? Does anyone think that republicans won't drive that talking point into the head of 95% of American households over the next year? I know I would. (Of course it goes without saying that for a public option/Medicare for All program to work, it's going to require a huge buy-in, i.e. bodies and $, or you can forget it.)

Pete looked good in general, and especially taking Beto to task for asking for purity pledges for his gun confiscation idiocy. Voluntary buy back? Sure. Confiscation? I'll have what you're smoking. Pete's still in the game, and is going to put more and more pressure on Biden for the "moderate" democratic vote.

Poor Biden. I hate to see him go out like this. He probably had his best debate ever, but... Although it's probably already too late, for Biden to miss yet another opportunity to make this primary all about him and Trump as a way to marginalize his primary opponents and emphasize his "electability", is political malpractice. We get that you don't want to take your message into the Trump family swamp by pointing out their hypocrisy vis-a-vis your son Hunter, but if you're not able to at least dip a toe, you are 100% not the right candidate to oppose Donald Trump.

Klobuchar did well, but can she out Pete Pete, competing for Biden's voters who are more comfortable with incremental change? She's getting better at this, it appears. But she's so far behind and doesn't appear to have much "it".

Bernie looked good so soon after his MI, and he can take credit for much of what's being discussed. He was already fading somewhat, and this heart attack is his political death knell.
Well said.

More of this. Less tweets. And I'll be voting you for PhDs top poster award.

I like Klobuchar so much, but she's so far behind. Maybe in 4 or 8 years? Or as VP for someone?...I loved her comment about not fucking up the meaningful gun legislation that's so close to gping thru by pushing the gun confiscation pipedream beto (and others) loves to throw out.

Had a meeting and only saw a small portion of the debate, but did see Warren chastising Biden and everyone else in her absolute best law professor role. Her staff must have told her that as the pundits mentioned, she looked more than a tad petulant.

Because...in the after debate recaps with Chris Hayes she was laughing and smiling and joking in ways that she never, ever does.

The Obama people have said that she's a grandstander of the first order. She seemed to be proving them right last night.

Well, you have dedicated a lot of space on this and other sites telling us all about hip hop terminology and culture.

No I haven't. I pissed the Kansas City people off by saying Tech9 is trash. But other than that I'm pretty sure I rarely discuss "hip hop culture". But cool story bro. Don't let facts get in the way of a good zinger!

you’re the one that felt the need to comment (negatively) on the phrase she used, and reference it as being “hood”.

maybe that’s just part of who she is, or maybe she was throwing some meat to a particular demographic.

dt is awful for sure. But that group on the stage the other night is also awful. I guess that explains the urgency to impeach.

Up until the other night I was for sure dt would be defeated in 2020.

I don't think Biden or Warren can beat him at this point. I think Pete would have a chance, but he may not even win in his own party. It's got to be someone that can pull in some republicans or middle of the road people (like me) who don't identify with either party.

I do wish republicans had someone else than Trump to challenge the Dems.

Fingers crossed someone that can appeal to us regular folks will come out of the woodwork soon.

So far there is no one that has declared that I can get behind. There’s time I suppose.

What you consider "regular folks" and what I consider "regular folks" are likely very different.

A Republican labeling all of the dozen Democratic contenders as "whack jobs". Shocking.
You understand that there IS no democrat that you would fail to consider a whack job, right?

There are plenty of democrats out there to put a democrat into the White House if they get off their asses and actually vote. Trump is our president because of the low voter turnout by Dems who didnt want to vote for Clinton and for Bernie supporters who got their undies in a twist.

They dont need to pull from the Republicans. That said, Trump's absurd behavior will lose him some Republican votes.

His behavior will definitely lose him some votes, but will those voters vote against him in favor of a Dem, not vote at all, or waste their vote on a 3rd party type to avoid voting for a Dem candidate is the real question.

Newsflash kids! There is a damn good chance if you want to be the President of the United States you're a whack job. No matter what party endorses you.

I know you read what you want to read so you can spin it in your favor. But I said “all that have declared.” Best as I know dt has declared.

But, go back to your unsocializing social media.
