McLemore may have a rotation role (or larger 1) in Houston now that Gerald Green may he out for the season.

I think he would have taken Green's role regardless; Green has been crazy inconsistent the last season-and-a-half; Ben has been playing great in the pre-season and is probably realizing this is his last shot in the NBA...could end up being a really good 3&D guy.

Maybe, but hard to say. I personally think Green was going to be ahead of him if healthy, but both would've been able to play a role.

Ben could absolutely be a good 3 and D guy, problem is he hasn't always shot the 3 well at the NBA level and his defensive effort hasn't always been there either....but a lot changes when you go to a contender instead of being stuck on a shit team. I'm excited to see how he does this year.

I can't believe Ben's shot was broken, that was a thing of beauty at KU.

It really doesn't make any sense. He's maybe the most sure I've ever been of someone from KU being a HOF caliber shooter.

Ben hitting a consistent percentage. Not being on a team that sucks may be what he needed

And with Harden and Westbrook both on his team he will never have to worry about dribbling the ball, which he still sort of sucks at for being an NBA SG. I think it's a great fit for him, and I think Houston is going to be a lot better than some of the Westbrook and Harden haters think.

Someone should tell Wiggins last night there were 5 NBA preseason games and in those 5 games there were arguably 50 guys who were better NBA players than he was last night.
There were probably 10,11,12 guys who were better than him in the game he played in.

Games played yesterday.
Wiggins - 28 min, 4-18 fg, 2-7 3pt, 2 reb, 1 ast, 3 to, 10 points
Frank - DNP CD

HUH?

In the preseason.
game 1) 6-16 fg 5-14 3pt
game 2) 3-5 fg 3-5 3pt
game 3) 4-13 fg 2-9 3pt
game 4) 1-5 fg 1-5 3pt
game 5 4-5 fg 2-3 3pt

If anything, it looks like he has been hitting an inconsistent percentage.

I figured as such. Still, his FG % in his first 5 games was hardly "consistent" from game to game.
37.5%, 60%, 30.7%, 20%, 80%.

He started out 1-3 last night and ended up 3-5 fg / 3-5 3pt in 17 minutes. That will work in terms of him being a solid contributor off the bench.

Last night Joel played 23 min, 6-8 fg, 1-2 3pt, 6 reb, 17 points
Marcus was given the night off by coach Fizdale.

I am wondering why LeBron and the Lakers brass sang his praises and then traded him for Reggie Bullock. Who they didn't keep.

They've got plenty of guys at that position with Bradley, Green, and KCP.

Now they do. They didn't when they drafted Svi and were singing his praises, and when they traded him for Bullock - who they chose not to keep.
Sure Svi can hit buzzer beaters in practice/s and we know what he can do when he's "on" but in games that matter he's shot only 32.9% FG for his career. I'm pretty sure that's why the Lakers traded him for Bullock and basically gave up on him after less than one full season.
I hope Svi plays well for the Pistons and has a productive NBA career but I'm thinking he's playing overseas after this season if he doesn't improve his shooting.
