To be clear: I do think Trump is a pussy, but stopping a bad idea before it goes too far isn't being a pussy.

This type of stuff is why I don't always think the outrage is genuine. You're going to hate whatever he does, even when he's doing the right thing (which is rare).

Your seem to have knee-jerk tendency for contrarianism. You want to reward him for not-stealing. The fact that he stopped doing a bad thing is no reason for being outraged for proposing this bad (illegal!!) thing in the first place. That outrage should never go away. He just said "OK, now that even my ardent and most loyal sycophants are having second thoughts maybe I will back off". This is no reason for an "Atta-boy". This is still part of the corruption, and only happened because sycophants stopped being sycophantic for a minute. They will go back to being sycophants sooner or later. Most likely sooner.

....and from everything I've seen on it, it's not illegal as long as he doesn't profit from it (he said it was going to be done for free, but who knows because it never went beyond the tweeting phase of planning)....the fact is it didn't happen, it didn't even get close to happening, he just tweeted about it....which he does about nearly every random thing that pops into his mind.
