Re: Weather
Scary AF, especially when you don't have basements.
Re: Weather
Winter’s...here?
Been snowing more often than not the past week, with enough accumulation today to get in the first day of skiing. Other locals already have several days notched, but I like my skis too much to ride them over thin snow.
Next couple days we’re due for all time record lows. Already below zero here.

Re: Weather
50s and rain here. Supposed to get down to 29 later this week.
Last 2 days were sunny and 70. I'd like more of that, please.

Re: Weather
Loving this cool weather. I am absolutely in love with 40s and sun shining.
Obviously, the wind and snow is not fun, but the actual temp is great.

I lived in Kansas/Missouri all my life and worked outside year round for years. I didn't like it when people in Florida, California, or Texass went all weather smack about how great it was there in the winter, but now that I live in Florida, they can have it. The summers are hot and humid as hell, and even now, almost Nov. 1st, every day it's +/- 90, and feels like 100, and the lows are still in the mid 70s. The other day it was 93 and according to the NWB, it felt like 106, and it did feel like it. That's true for almost half of the year. The winters here are great and I don't miss the snow, but having to work outside every day all those years in the midwest, I learned not to let it get me down and just dealt with it. What I really miss are spring and fall.

During the twenty years I lived in San Francisco we knew when it was 'fall' because that is when the rain started; we knew when it was 'spring' because that is when the rain stopp.
Re: Weather
But we need the rain now. It's dry and a lot of fires. Maybe you guys should send some of that cool, rainy weather our way

Re: Weather
Jeebus it got really cold here in KC. 25 degrees with 40 mph wind gusts. Yesterday mid 60's and sunny. I hate weather. Off for Veterans Day, but don't think I'll be venturing out.
Re: Weather
Solid 8 degrees at the moment with a steady 16 mph wind.
Currently 77 degrees in Miami at 7:42am.
Moral of the story is one I have been telling for 20+ years.
If you have the ability to NOT live in Chicago during the months of November, December, January, February, and March, and you can live somewhere where the average temperature is in the 60s, 70s 80s most of the time during those months, and you still choose to live in Chicago - you're freaking nuts.
