He has an r after his name so that gets him a lot.
He's alienated unions, teachers and just about everyone else.

Re: Down Ballot: Who You Got?
Again, meh.
I'm a big believer in the idea that this is what post-Cold-War presidents do; they kill their party.
Remember 2014? The GOP had more power and controlled more seats -- in states, Congress, etc. -- than at any point since before the Great Depression.
Or 1994, when the GOP took the House for the first time in almost fifty years?
Or 2006, when a great Democratic wave swept the country and handed the gavel to Nancy Pelosi?
The modern presidency is a double-edged sword.
And that's OK. Parties need to get their asses handed to them every decade or so.

Re: Down Ballot: Who You Got?
Rationalize it if it makes you feel better, but when trump spikes the ball every time he doesn't lose yardage and talks so much trash, the Dems are going to spike the ball every time they get positive yardage as well. And in the end the only purpose it serves is to divide the country into two warring tribes with a few undeclared in the middle wondering WTF? You know the look on their faces, it's the same one Self had on his face last night. In the end Putin wins. Yes he is the one who benefits most from a divided US, and of course the most partisan of the media that stoke the dumpster fire. Say both sides do it all you want but it was the trumpublicans who went in whole hog on allowing the Russians to work for their causes, in our elections. The trumpublican party can't die soon enough.DCHawk1 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 7:26 am Again, meh.

But first can you do me a favor, one more tax cut before you go OK?

As long as we're talking about rationalizing things, are you proud that the party that closed ranks to protect a wannabe Klansman and a rapist was rewarded for doing so?

All Sessions has to tell Donald is that he knows Schiff's cell number.
