who ya got?
Re: who ya got?
He'll be the main target at the next debate, will be interesting to see how he handles it.
Re: who ya got?
When you are projected to struggle getting African American votes you have to search elsewhere.
Re: who ya got?
Mayor Pete should hunt for votes elsewhere. Guessing the Sikh population in the US is not high. Guessing 99% of the non Sikh population here in the US does not know what a Sikh is or what they do or where the come/came from.
Maybe mayor Pete should pimp himself out to the Gremlin drivers club of America. Be one of two or three votes for him there.

Re: who ya got?
The Florida Democratic Party is often mostly a circular firing squad of the highest order, but the one thing they got right was in 2008 trying to move their primary to first in the nation. It's ridiculous that such unrepresentative states as Iowa and New Hampshire have such a strong role in determining the outcome of the primaries.
ETA: Which is not to say anything negative about Buttigegg, just listening to the endless pundit talk about Iowa is craziness.

Re: who ya got?
What a sad commentary on the intelligence and knowledge of the US voting age public (I doubt that the number is as high as 99%, but probably still very high - I nevertheless agree with your broader point). Explains why Sikh shopkeepers were confused for being Muslim and were targets of assault after 9/11 by mobs-who-couldn't-hate-correctly! Also explains why we have some of the elected officials that we do!!
Re: who ya got?
Supporting minority groups in general is a good strategy - it gains trust from other minority groups. I mentioned it in another thread as to one of the reasons why Jews still tend to be Democrats despite Republicans pandering to them and being stronger on Israel support.

Re: who ya got?
It's almost like someone has been on here saying that Pete's the real front-runner...
After Iowa and New Hampshire it'll come down to whether or not African Americans will vote for a homosexual. I think I agree with Pete that that is overblown by the analysts... But, who knows.

Re: who ya got?
75% of those polled prefer someone other than Pete.
84% prefer someone other than Liz.
85% prefer someone other than Joe.
85% prefer someone other than Bernie.
You get the picture. Am I the only one concerned it's not a pretty one?

Re: who ya got?
robo feral has been meddling in the election since way before today.
Re: who ya got?
It would be insanely stupid for the DNC to hold a debate tonight.
Re: who ya got?
too easy to just let it proceed
in actuality, it would probably further their cause by underscoring the gravity of the situation
Re: who ya got?
Sure. But the smart play is to sit back and let this have all the oxygen. Shit, issue some joint statement that injects more gasoline.
But, Jesus, the last thing they should do is draw attention away from reasons Trump should go, and toward what's bad about each candidate (which is, cumulatively and essentially, the only argument for why Trump should stay).
