Reads like a guy being self-deprecating re: his lack of fried chicken knowledge to me. It was kinda in the news a bunch a couple years ago.
Thanks! That's exactly what I was doing. Please note that I have no knowledge of anything chicken-eating related other than what's in popular culture/news - the two establishments I noted were both in the news and for the reasons InfiniteJ and I mentioned. Didn't imply anything political.

Also, I imply nothing about the merits (or lack thereof) of my dietary choice, other than as a point of reference for my utter ignorance on the topic. So, if anyone is wondering why would I follow this topic.........it's extremely fascinating to me to follow a discussion on the "Best....." reflecting the most subjective opinions and defending one's positions with "facts"

Sounds like zsn doesn’t eat there and no one else said anything so... odd post.
Well, it seemed as if he was going off of my post about Chik Fil A.
Did anyone else ( I didn't read the entire thread ) post about Chik Fil A?
If it was a response to me I implied that he was implying ( and now I'm sounding like gutter a bit ) that Chik Fil A shouldn't be an option of having good fried chicken b/c the chain ( subjectively ) is owned by a homophobe.

So I responded.

Waffle fries, yes! Chicken and waffles, no.

I've never had chicken and waffles. Don't tell me people put maple syrup on them?

I like chicken and waffles.
I do put syrup on the waffles but try to miss the chicken.
That said, you take a bite of both so you're getting syrup, waffles and chicken.

I have desert after the meal, if at all. I don't really like sweets. I really don't like maple syrup. Especially the HFCS "maple syrup" most places use instead of the real thing. I surely ain't ruining fried chicken with it.

My local pizzeria has a BLT pizza on the menu. I thought “that’s weird. How can a BLT pizza be any good.” I tried it. Son of a gun it was delicious. It it now my go to pizza.

Whodda thunk it.

I'd be fine with bacon and tomato on a pizza.
Not lettuce.
Just a waste of time.

BLT pizza sounds good to me, as long as you don't bake it with the lettuce on.

Added benefit is no one is dumping "maple syrup" on it.
