Or a POTD option?
Yes.
Once I win the Megamillions.
Or one of you posters wins the Megamillions and gives me enough money to quit my full time job.

I would take lump sum with that amount. Better to enjoy it soon, as no one is guaranteed life in the future.

No winner. Right now jackpot is set at 1.6 billion - the highest lottery jackpot. Cash option is now at 904 million. Ridiculous amount of money.

Serious question.
You win and your lifestyle improves - but does your life actually improve?
Now all of a sudden you have every Tom, Dick, and Harry that you know and every Sally, Mary, and Jane that you don't know contacting you.
Who do you help, who don't you help?
How much do you give person A and how much don't you give person B?
Don't get me wrong, I would deal with it and would prefer to have the money than not have the money but I really don't think it would be as wonderful as most people think it would be.

With that much money at my disposal Sally won't be able to find or contact me.

JFC, a half a billion in cash and Gutter is looking at the downside.

"JFC" is that I witness it (the downside/s of a half billion in cash) most days of my life.
Yes, I witness the upside/s too.
Like I said and I will say again, "don't get me wrong, I would deal with it and would prefer to have the money than not have the money".
Excuse me while I go to 7/11 and go buy me a ticket or 3.

All the problems that would come would be worth it. The main one being that you would need to pay to remain anonymous.

Neither would I. I would likely still be working in some way or another. But maybe in a career I REALLY want to do, and not what is best for me and my family right now.

Pretty sure there was a winning ticket in South Carolina. Winner has 180 days to claim prize and they can stay anonymous.
