I dont think I have any league members who would trade actual players who are playing for AJ Green. Must be nice.

Re: Fantasy Football
Someone tried to send me Josh Gordon for Melvin Gordon. Declined it.
Don't think Josh Gordon will be a big part of the offense once Sanu gets going.

Re: Fantasy Football
Hunter Henry 38 fantasy points, 2 games.
Greg Olsen 39 fantasy points, 6 games.
TE spot is an important one - and he's taking the risk that Green comes back or gets traded - I would have absolutely kept AJ ( over Golladay because the ceiling for a no. 1 WR is there ) if I could have but bench is 5 spots and a week with a lot of byes would force me to drop guys I wouldn't want to. His WR's are strong enough to take the hit too.
I have AJ on my other team and he's a very strong hold b/c I have a 7 spot bench.

Re: Fantasy Football
Lotta people on byes.
WR's are strong ( but Julio and Michael Thomas on byes ) but RB's are patchwork.
I need to decide if I drop someone to pick up a waiver wire WR.
It's gonna be LeSean McCoy or Jaylen Samuels.
I'm not gonna start McCoy this week but would consider starting Samuels over Melvin Gordon or Sony Michel.
Do I:
A. Pair Samuels with either Gordon or Michel and drop McCoy
B. Drop Samuels and start Gordon and Michel
C. Ride without a 3rd WR ( looking like Devante Parker would be the guy ) thinking that Samuels as the only PIT RB could make up more points than a waiver wire WR ( and also keep RB depth )

Re: Fantasy Football
Yeah Gurley is fine to let go, Olsen and Golladay would be tough. But sometimes you have to make a move for a good player and Cook is certainly that.

Golladay is the one of those guys i'd definitely miss.
I have Austin Hooper starting and he's past his bye.

Re: Fantasy Football
PPR or no PPR?
PPR, I'd go with whatever keeps you having Fitzgerald. Don't trust Theilen in that offense. Minnesota loves screens and Diggs.

Re: Fantasy Football
Yea, i'd like CnB's thoughts on this matter.
I'm basically looking for week 15 and 16.
Week 15 isn't great ( @ LAC and their cover 3 ) and week 16 on paper isn't great either ( v GB ) but Thielen has done well vs them in the past -- and then there's the question of whether he has had time to recover enough.
No PPR.

Re: Fantasy Football
That's why I asked if it's a PPR.
Thielen has games where he maybe has 2 or 3 receptions with a 5 or 6 catch game in there. When Thielen was healthy, here was his stat line..
3/43
5/75
3/55
2/6
7/130 GOOD!
6/57
Fitzgerald consistently gets 5 catches a game in that Arizona offense. Same stretch for Fitz..
8/113
5/104
5/36
5/47
6/58
6/69
Minnesota runs more TE and RB screens than anyone in the damn league, it seems.

Re: Fantasy Football
If it's no PPR, Thielen all day. He's got the big play ability. But also something to think of, Murray has gotten tremendously better this last month or so. Cousins is eh.pdub wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2019 9:07 am Yea, i'd like CnB's thoughts on this matter.

Re: Fantasy Football
"Eh Cousins" is currently 6th in fantasy points scored by a QB, but narratives are fun.
I don't think Theilen's hamstring fully heals this season--but there is a little bit of debbie downer in my expectations being a fan of this franchise.
When he's fully healthy, he's the #1 WR target for an offense that ranks 4th in total yards, 9th in passing, tied for 2nd with the can't-do-nothing-nothing wrong Chiefs in yards per pass attempt, and 4th in passing TD's. He's also Option 2 behind a run by Cook in the red zone as Diggs is not a great red zone WR. That's why in Theilen's absence Kyle Rudolph finally caught a TD pass.
Granted the Vikes run the ball A LOT, especially against a team like Washington. They don't run a ton of screens (and pretty much none to the TE's) but rather run a shit ton of play action which accounts for the high YPA, high amount of sacks given up, and lower total passing yardage than you'd think looking at the passing efficiency stats.

Re: Fantasy Football
Agreed. But I also think he has more chances than Thielen does. Arizona with the spread offense compared to the more "pro style" offense of Minnesota where Rudolph and Diggs seem to be the primary targets in the red zone.
Thielen has always seemed to be a guy that gets the ball in space and gets his production that way. Diggs is the top guy, can get the ball and space and in the red zone. Rudolph is only good in the red zone. Dalvin Cook is the primary engine that gets the offense going.
I just don't trust Minnesota's offense, especially with Cousins at the helm.

Re: Fantasy Football
I didn't think Thielen is a #1 WR in this offense. I'd say it's Diggs every day based on production, but I'm also not a Vikings fan who pays attention. I just watch from afar.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2019 9:21 am "Eh Cousins" is currently 6th in fantasy points scored by a QB, but narratives are fun.
