^^^ the fact republicans have condoned as much is perhaps the most ridiculous part of all.
If the roles were reversed and it was a democrat potus saying F-U to Congress, 1. I don’t think the left would tolerate one their own doing it, and 2. It would be difficult to overestimate the degree to which the right would be completely loosing their minds.

I had this goofy thought that the house impeached and it went to a senate trial but Mitch went all Garland again like YoU CaNt Do ThIs In An ELeCtIoN YeAr and the trial just never happens...

Dems might want to do that. We know he did this thing that in a sane world he should be impeached for - but it's an election year so let the voters decide. What's the alternative? A long trial that distracts from the election and ends in acquittal?
